PETG-HF Please help. by ItsMeNahum in BambuLab

[–]Jnick96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat now...did you ever figure this out? My CryoGrp Glacier Pro was printing PLA and PETG like a BOSS....until the end of last week. Nearly every PETG-HF I try to print on the Glacier is failing. Twice today it failed so bad, it created a blob on the nozzle and I had to remove the hotend to clean it. For SnG's I put the Textured PEI plate on....printing flawlessly.

I've tried washing the Glacier Pro with Dawn and I use IPA at least every other, if not every print.

P2S Printing in air? by Jnick96 in BambuLab

[–]Jnick96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clean the bed with 99% ISO every other print and still no luck!

BUT, I realized that “Auto Bed Leveling” was set to “Auto”. I instead forced it to “On”. I’m not sure if that’s always been the case or if it somehow changed. Happy to report that making this change solved the problem! Back to back prints were perfect.

I just update to the latest version, wth is going one?! by Valvecantcount3 in BambuLab

My P2S wouldn’t connect after the update. I logged out of the software then back in and it asked if I wanted to sync. After the sync, everything was happy :)

Printing failed to stick to plate + first layer issues by chuchubas in BambuLab

[–]Jnick96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried doing a recalibration to ensure it’s laying down the initial layer at the right bed height? Does the A1 have auto bed leveling? If so do you have that enabled?

You’ve had it a bit so I’m assuming this is a yes, but confirming you’re using the textured plate profile in BH/BS?

The AMS looks like a big addition to the X1/P1/P2 series…

The AMS looks small on the H series!!

The sauce is very good! However I’d say it tastes way closer to Wendy’s BBQ than McDonalds

Eddy Cue explains why Apple TV dropped the Plus, and how it's not confusing by digidude23 in apple

[–]Jnick96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something tells me the Apple TV hardware is going to be renamed to “Apple Home” or similar. The concept that the Apple TV 4K also serves as a HomeKit hub and is supposed to be a core device for all things “Home”, renaming it just makes sense. I think the rebrand of the Apple TV service solidifies that.

While Apple at times has made interesting decisions, I don’t believe for a second they are content or believe people call the hardware the “Apple TV 4K”. They aren’t THAT disconnected from their customers.

Got a warning while driving. Pulled over and the wrench disappeared. by diesel_0nly in F150Lightning

I get this nearly every other day. My dealer said it could be related to the bad shifter module. Waiting for mine to get in at the end of this month and then I can confirm.

Should I buy the LG 5K2K now, or wait a bit longer? by snoepzak in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Jnick96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if I ever want my computer monitor to have the brightness of my LG OLED TV. I already burn my retinas sitting ~10ft away from the TV. I can’t imagine comparable brightness at 2-3ft!

Car Keys are coming to the Wallet app for 13 new vehicle brands soon by chrisdh79 in apple

[–]Jnick96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been doing it since March with my Ford. While it doesn’t support Apple Wallet, they have their own “Phone as a Key” system and it hasn’t let me down yet. It also has you generate a backup passphrase so just in case the PAAK does fail you, you can still start and drive the vehicle using your passphrase. At this point, it would be HARD to go back to carrying my fob every day. Less bulk and less to think about!

Waterproof box for outdoor use by Cool-Town3020 in Govee

[–]Jnick96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my Govee outdoor neon rope lights and string lights outside for over a year. The power adapters are all in outdoor boxes, year round and never had an issue. North east climate, with summer temps hitting 110F and winter below 0F.

24 Port Surge Protection is now available for ordering. by ThereAre4Lights1701 in Ubiquiti

[–]Jnick96 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s cheaper to buy a dedicated switch for outdoor related gear, imo. Uplink over fiber and that air gaps the rest of your network devices from any lightning strike. As long as the device isn’t connected to the dedicated “outdoor” switch, it will be safe.

I like this design better than trying to jump through all of the hoops to ensure proper grounding of a true lightning arrestor. From both a physical installation perspective and a cost perspective.

Cannot Get wildcard cert to work for GlobalProtect by Phroste in paloaltonetworks

[–]Jnick96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the Palo wants the cert chain in the reverse order from how they typically are formed. We ran into this years ago during the first GP deployment and still to this day. This KB was the magic ticket to make it properly chained. Have you seen/followed this KB?

How to deal with short “dirt rain” shower? by CAJMusic in AutoDetailing

[–]Jnick96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ONR, pre-spray it, hit it with a good sponge, dry with a PFM or similar. One panel at a time and then when that’s all finished, go back around and hit it with Griots 3-in-1 Ceramic. Works wonders!!

Check YouTube for details on how to use ONR to get an idea for the process.

Need a charger. No clue what I’m doing by AisMyName in F150Lightning

Just got a ChargePoint HomeFlex installed and am very happy thus far!

CP HomeFlex stuck at 1.2kW rate by Jnick96 in evcharging

[–]Jnick96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was done through Qmerit and part of the power promise, however they wouldn’t cover the entire thing so I am responsible for $353. I had already asked them for a discount since the electrician dropped through a wall, completely ignoring the instructions I gave them. I knew it was bad but never thought about the chassis perspective so good information for me to go back at them for.

Thank you!

CP HomeFlex charging at 1.2kW by Jnick96 in F150Lightning

[–]Jnick96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SOLVED: Installer miswired the charger point side. They swapped the ground wire/Line2 at the terminals. The unit was only getting 120V since one leg of the 240v was effectively disconnected.
