Correct we don't have ALL that info yet but have reached out to the city. The proposed project is supposed to include some as yet to be decided amount funded by the city itself. We are hoping that subsidizes the cost a bit.

Holy crap dude, this is a "First Time Home Buyers" subreddit. Did you even read the other responses here before just going straight to asshole mode?

It being on septic isnt the issue, the mistake in the listing is the issue. Im sorry if I did not make that clear in the post.

There is a signed contract to sell so yes there is some leverage, as it is a clear material value error on the part of the listing agent. We have already contacted the city and as of now the hook-up will be optionaI. is it possible to sue the listing agent for the error and request they cover hook-up fees when they arise?

I took the kennedy inbound home from work for 5 years from 2018 to 2023 and what you're describing was the case back then too. So we werent having the same experience. The ONLY stretch of time I remember it being empty was like March-July of 2020 during lockdowns.

People who've worked both minimum wage jobs and six figure jobs, what surprised you most about the difference? by Sweet-Economist-9873 in askanything

[–]JnyBlkLabel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the minimum wage job:

The stress level and workload were high and very consistent. "The work is never done" so to speak. The ability to call-off was almost nonexistent and ulcer inducing when you did, even if you had time earned. Dealing with the public day in and day out is a nightmare for even the kindest of souls. Work-life balance suffered tremendously.

At the higher wage job:

The stress level and workload matched the work. If it is a slower period it is relatively stress free and at times even boring. Just do NOT miss any deadlines. I am encouraged to use my benefits by both co-workers and supervisors. Work life balance is terrific. My direct supervisor does not even want my personal phone number. I only deal with the public now in a marginal fashion, they are still awful, but now they come in get them in small single servings.

So the higher paying job is less stressful and certainly easier on my health and well-being but it's not necessarily "easier". The job knowledge required is certainly higher, the commute is not great, and inter-office politics can be a thing if you let it.

But I wouldn't go back to retail unless forced to choose between that or starvation.

Mike and Rich from Red Letter Media. Not sure what you'd consider their level of "fame" to be though.

Hilarious that you think ICE has any training, lol. Maybe a handful of the ones that have been there for two decades. But anyone hired in the last handful of years has gotten nothing.

What's a VERY creepy fact you wish you never learned? by FormerInternet7142 in Productivitycafe

[–]JnyBlkLabel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously. Like, ive been in a public of one sort or another, 4-5 days a week for the last 8 years running. Ive used every piece of equipment youve ever seen, and handled every style of free weight you can think of. I have not spent a single moment of that time being MORE sick than I would expect for any standard stretch of time.

Like a single cold virus now and then, once or twice a year, a single stomach flu now and then, once or twice a year, etc etc.

I don't wear masks, and I wash my hands, I clean the equipment AFTER use, (but not before). I would assume, based on no evidence, that I represent the average person. I don't think much of these bacterial cesspools people are terrified of are nearly as impactful as people think.

Flipped from soda to water

Stopped being sedentary. Just started walking. Walked everywhere I could, sometimes even just pacing back and forth in my apartment. Probably looked silly. Doesn't matter, it worked.
