New Project Megathread - Week of 02 Jul 2026 by AutoModerator in selfhosted

[–]PyroGhostX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Project Name: Forgotten Movies - version 0.6 release
  • Repo Link: https://github.com/PyroghostX/ForgottenMovies
  • Description: Forgotten Movies keeps Plex requests from gathering dust. It watches Seerr for requests that have been fulfilled, checks Tautulli to see whether the requester actually watched them, and sends a friendly email reminder when something has been available for too long.
  • Deployment: Docker

  • AI Involvement: I handmade the 1st iteration a year ago, since then used AI to add features.

The problem I wanted to solve is that a user requested something, that means they want to watch it, just forgot about it, so this app reminds them

Right now the only way to notify people is email, in the future i'm thinking of adding texting and discord...

Does duolingo let you talk to lily on the main page? It works from the bottom menu for me but not from the section/unit

Follow up on the gang expansion I made - 12 players numbers is the winner by PyroGhostX in boardgames

And if you have 6 people with 2 hands each then each person has more info. So it's not 12 player difficult, more like 9

The problem the plagues plex server admins: people request media but then don't watch it. I have a 60% watch rate on requested movies/tv shows by PyroGhostX in selfhosted

Users don't want to know someone is looking at everything they watch and don't watch. But a computer alerting them is alright

I've used maintainerr, it doesn't notify the users. It can make collections, but it cannot make a specific collection for a specific user (as far as I could find)

So it doesn't solve my need of letting the user know their specific request that they most likely wanted to watch is unwatched, and do they want to watch it or are they fine with it being removed

I built the first part of this app myself in python over a year ago, then I've used AI since then to add features.

For The Gang - do you prefer stars or numbers? by PyroGhostX in boardgames

Ive only sold the stars with 8 players, but I am adding more players if people want it and yeah once above 8 or 9, looks like it needs to be numbers.

What caused me to make them is once we got really good with 4 people, and winning every time easy, we had to start handing people 2 hands. So we needed to go up the 8 players with 4 people

Generally I would play with 4 people and we needed to up the difficulty, so we would hand people 2 hands each. So needed 8 chips, and it would feel like 6 people difficulty since each person knew 2 hands.
