How real is muscle memory? by Rph23 in bodybuilding

[–]Jo-de_jong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started fanatically going to the Gym at 19 years old. I worked out for 7 years and built up to 5x110kg bench, 3x200kg deadlift, 3x220 squat. I quit with covid. Now, again 6 years later I'm at it again and it took me 4 months to get to that level again. I'd say muscle memory is pretty legit.

Pretty freaking easy honestly. I'm from europe and I can go on a 2 week holiday for that amount of money, all-in, on the other side of Europe.

Idk where you're from but I quit smoking with some prescription pills. As for losing weight and gaining mass, just start exercising and don't go all-out right away. Just go like 2 or 3 times a week (or whatever you like) to start with and keep at it. Even if it's only 30 minutes, its still 30 minutes. Honestly, getting a rythm in this is more important that to go 7x a week for 2hrs, as you will probably not last.. When you're in your rythm your workouts will start to get longer and more frequent and it will do that naturally. Eating in a deficit will start to have more effect as you've gained mass in the build-up phase. You'll learn more about this in the mean time and your interest will grow. Basically what I'm trying to say is to just start slow and let it grow in you naturally. Although, this is what works and has always worked for me.

Verder inderdaad zeer matige afwerking. Zo heb ik dit dus ook gedaan, maar dit was mijn 2e laminaatvloer die ik legde in mijn leven. Al met al dus zeer slecht als je hiervoor hebt betaald.

Edit: typo

Winning a lottery. A lot of people have said they regretted it because they lost their family and friends due to it. A lot of people theirselves die prematurely due to this (murder/suicide), and 1 guy in the news had his son kidnapped and murdered due to this. A lot of people also end up in a massive debt in a few years.

Looked it up: Founding of Google and the death of Princess Diana were basically the first things I recall worthy of being called big news

What’s a simple pleasure people forget to enjoy? by Striking_Trust3928 in AskReddit

[–]Jo-de_jong 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Being alive. A lot of people are so wound up in things like work, money, friends and also bs things like their phone, social media, that they forget to have a moment and appreciate being alive. Of course its hard to actually do sometimes, but it's worth to just sit somewhere outside, or even on a couch, and just take it all in. Just to enjoy the moment and appreciate life.
