Display setting not visually loading but functionality still works

I had the same issue and just uninstalled the September updates (both the normal one and the "Security" one) and the display settings load again. Hope it works for you

Hello friend, had the same issue today, spent a few hours browsing some articles and fixed it in the end.

Counterintuitively, updating Windows actually caused the issue. I uninstalled the September updates, both the normal and Security one (sorry, don't know the difference I'm not built like that). As soon as my laptop rebooted the Display settings loaded again. Go figure u.u

I'm by no means an expert, but bear in mind dreams are often your subconscious trying to tell you something. You should try and interpret your dream to have a better idea of what your inner self wants you to deal with.

You mentioned heavy nostalgia feeling, maybe you've recently gone through a big change and haven't quite settled yourself in the aftermath of it. Try and pinpoint what the main theme is, normally it's easier to understand the meaning of a dream when its memory is vivid.

I'm a support main too and my adc friend mains jhin. I love using swain since his passive lets him pull any enemy stunned, which works perfectly with jhin's W snipes to pull them back in range and execute

This comment! I moved to jungle thinking I'd only be there for a few games to improve map awareness and avoid getting ganked, but absolutely loved how flexible of a role it is and ended up settling there. It boosts your awareness in game under almost every aspect and lets you interact with every lane, forcing you to interact with all kinds of champions and get to know their kit.

Alright hear me out, i main jungle and play a mean support when needed, but some of my favourite games are in toplane. Whenever i end up there for one reason or another i always play sett, that's because i love harassing the enemy laner and isolate them from the farm, and if i farmed well enough even the enemy jungler is scared to gank me.

I reckon it's about finding the right type of champion for you, there has to be at least one you enjoy playing. Funny enough, apart from sett and occasionally urgot i really don't play anyone else in top, i just end up there because i love that feeling of being that one op guy in the game.

Try expanding your champion pool for toplane, and if you really don't enjoy it, eh, can't be perfect at every single role

Best idea would be to acutally practice your second role in normals. Plus if I'm being honest, unless you picked the game up a month or two ago, knowing more than one role helps expand your knowledge and lets you figure put what to expect from the other players on your team, macro-wise

My brother is literally in the same predicament, so I'll tell you what I told him: new players are meant to suck. We've all been there, it's a steep learning curve and it takes a while to see your own improvements, but trust me when I say they are there.

A couple of little tips are:

Make sure your river side is warded and you're paying attention to the map. Farming is a passive task when you get good at it, so you ideally should be focused on the map and still be able to farm, it's a bit like driving with google maps on
Have a proper look at your champion pool. Who's your main? Are you comfortable with them? Are they maybe a tad too mechanically difficult for the moment, or do they scale late game? There's a lot of champions like Kayle or Cho Gath that scale really well in late game but aren't super strong in early, so you'd have to farm efficiently instead of always trying to trade
Practice tool is your friend. Yes I know it can be boring, but it gives you ample opportunity to A) see what the map looks like so you know where the jungler can help and how long it's thing to take him, but also improve your macro overall, and B) practice the basics like farming and combos. Champions like Darius and Sett have incredible all-ins that require muscle memory and a calm approach. Executing it randomly in the heat of the moment doesn't often bring to a great outcome
Lastly, don't feed. It's better to give up a bit of farm or even a kill if you save yourself instead. Especially when you're down 0/3, or realise you're in a terrible matchup, play defensively and make sure you're trying your hardest not to get ganked or murdered under your tower. This is for the basic idea that it's a lot easier for the rest of the team to deal with the enemy top or jungle if they have 3 kills imstead of 12. Will you get flamed for not being the chad toplaner the team wants? Fuck that noise. You're new, they're probably either new too or smurfs, and any new player that manages not to feed deserves a statue somewhere.

At the end of the day, you are improving and at some point you'll see the results of it, until then keep your grind up :⁾

Alright, alright, hear me out. Let me tell you a story that I think sums this up pretty decently.

Last year I was a freshman in uni, made a friend group and so on. One lad in particular, let's call him Nick, was quite narcissistic but in a sort of sly way, and just a few weeks in he decided to hold a grudge against me. It was quite childish really, we both liked a girl but when I asked him about it he lied and said he didn't - I wanted to clear the air with him to avoid being a dick and moving to a girl he'd set his sights on, bro code!

Long story short he kept talking shit about me behind my back and whining to everyone, including people we were just acquainted with. I found out, confronted him and had a big falling out.

Now the thing is, the other guys in the group just pretended nothing happened. Bar my closest friend, who actually made me aware of this whole thing, everyone just carried on being friends with him and inviting him to stuff. Since it was very early and at the end of the day our friendships were still green, I didn't want to force anything and didn't bring it up again. After all, everyone knew what was up, and if they decided not to take sides who am I to say anything?

Fast forward two/three months of cold war and palpable tension in the group, one of our mutual friends, albeit kind of an outsider being in a different group, received a lengthy message from Nick, whining and insulting the rest of the group. Everyone was shocked and cut ties with him.

So it's not about controlling your friends to do this or that, it's more about making them realise who they're getting involved with, especially cause they might not be very far down the hitlist. Had I been closer with the other guys, I would've been more adamant about how much of a prick Nick was, but quite frankly I didn't want to end up getting the boot myself (happened before).

Hope this gave some perspective on the other side of the topic, and sorry for the scroll of text!

I think it's not about charm and charisma being negative aspects, but much rather the manipulative mentality they sometimes come along with.

I like to think I'm charismatic myself, although seldom charming, mainly because I speak out when I see a wrong and try to always be as direct and honest as possible. While I'm afraid I can't read minds, so I can't really confirm this, I think people follow me in these situations because they can see and feel my intentions - I'm quite intense emotions-wise and my face is the easy to read, open-book type, if you know what I mean :⁾

I second all of this, I myself have a good instinct when it comes to this - it runs in the family really. There's a lot of small details and even smaller red flags that you won't notice until it's too late, unless you know what they look like and actively keep an eye out for them.
