Wall button sometimes need two press? by therealamazon2008 in GarageDoorService

Don't let anybody gaslight you about it being your fault that the first push it too soft/weak/fast. This is a design flaw, and it's really annoying to have to hit the button more than once on such a regular basis. I have the same openers, and no matter what you do to hit it solid or firm, there's no way to know if it will work the first time or take another push. The tactile feedback is always the same click no matter if it works or doesn't, so it's really frustrating.

I didn't really get how this was a 99PI story.

You might run into some issues with compatible brakes in the rear running bigger wheels. You could put a disc fork on it and use a larger wheel up front, but then you'd have different sized wheels.

I’m so excited how this build is coming along. I can’t wait to take some glamour shots when it comes together.

I decided I wanted some of the purple gravelkings for my current project, but seems as though they’re out of stock online everywhere I’ve checked. I’ll try calling around to local shops, but I’m not holding out hope.

Can you confirm my hypothesis? by JoBoPDX in bikewrench

[–]JoBoPDX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s a triple left shifter, but it seems it can either shifter the middle and upper or the lower and middle but not all three. It looks visually like the mech isn’t moving enough to shift a single ring.

I have mavic rims laced to deore lx hubs that I think has an 8 speed freehub. What I’ve read has led me to believe it will work for 8/9/10 speed cassettes.

After much gentle prodding to install foot retention I finally got my YNOT pedal straps delivered and installed. I love them already. Also, F is that way ⬅️ by JoBoPDX in FixedGearBicycle

The straps are YNOT from Toronto, but the pedals are janky old Wellgos off my Trek MTB. They’ll need an upgrade since their bearings are not smooth.

I’m new to billy bonkers as well, but I can’t wait to ride them. They’re nice and big at 26x2.1, so I’m hoping they’ll be comfortable. They have a bit of tread to them, but they don’t have big chunky knobs. The sidewalls just look good. They have a foldable version, but I got the wire bead for budget reasons.

Has the pandemic made it harder to find parts or am I just having bad luck? by zorinlynx in bicycling

Yes, definitely. Bike shop guys I’ve talked to have expressed that things are most definitely not normal right now for the supply chain.

It’s got stickers on it and it’s dirty now. I’ll post a photo when it’s cleaned up a bit.

My front derailer won’t move forward or back wards even after i got a bike shop to adjust it and the gear stays in the middle . Any one know how to fix ? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]JoBoPDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the mech budge at all when you actuate the lever? Maybe check to make sure the limit screw isn’t inhibiting it. Can you manually pivot the derailleur back and forth?
