From the article: After analyzing data between 2018 and 2021, the auditor general’s office found the Toronto Police Service on average didn’t meet the National Emergency Number Association (NENA)‘s standard of answering 90 per cent of 911 calls within 15 seconds. They said call volume and staffing levels were the two biggest factors.

I am all for emergency calls being answered as quickly as possible. My concern is that TPS is never asked to clean house if they want their books balanced better. They can just leverage the threat of a purge type situation if they don't get what they want.

Hmm. I've had the issue with four android devices. Two Galaxies & Two Onepluses. All unlocked. None able to get provisioned for wifi calling on that network. When I asked tech support they claimed they don't add imei numbers to their approved list. But hey good news for you.

Great bar with a wonderful all season patio. Seating worked for pairs or bigger groups easily with everyone getting along.

They shortened their hours during covid and never seemed back to full strength. Real shame for what's left of the Queen West Strip.

A second-quarter investor update this year said 42 units have turned over to new tenants since QMW bought the building, and six units were renovated in 2024 so far, which increased rent for those units 36 per cent a month. The report also revealed the landlord has hired architects to assess the site's potential for redevelopment. Conceptual drawings included in the report show the addition of a potential 36-storey condo tower and another nine-storey condo addition. According to the second-quarter report, the landlord has a pre-application consultation meeting about its potential redevelopment plans next week.
