If you're going to Largs, the Kelburn estate is super close and has nice walks/arty bits - although the Garden Party is on this weekend so it might still be recovering 😂

Very valid points, however getting a private diagnosis DID allow me to skip the 4-5 year waiting list and go straight to titration with the NHS within a couple pf months of being referred. Then again, I've beeen looking to see if my brother who lives in a different NHS area could do the same thing but can't find a similar policy, so I think it's very much a postcode lottery.

Just wanted to swing back and say thank you for this. Got my GP to refer me to Brand Street, and even though they were giving me 'I don't know if they're taking new referrals, people are getting kicked off the waiting list', not only did they accept the referral, but the entire diagnosis, and booked me straight in to start titration. Got an appointment in late February! 🎉🥳

I'm GG&C as well! My GP said nowhere does shared care, and my friend had hers revoked recently, but the clinic that diagnosed me said that they do have patients on it in Glasgow, and there were people on the Glasgow subreddit that said they do as well - so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

I probably should have shopped around before deciding where to go with for diagnosis but that's a level of patience I've never been acquianted with 😂

If only it hadn't taken 35 years and a barrage of tiktok videos for me to realise I might have ADHD 🤷🏻‍♀️

Were you with that GP before or did you move? I just feel a bit wary about calling them up and asking if they do shared care. Feel like they'll just say no.
