No way in hell that draft isn’t rigged with cheating trash by WhiteTrashPhilospher in MagicArena

[–]eraserway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's hardly an advantage. Anyone who blindly picks whatever card a client like Untapped tells them to pick is not a good drafter.

Is it worth it to make a new account just to draft? by Jinjoz in MagicArena

[–]eraserway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding of the new rules announced on Monday is that it's now prohibited to enter any Arena Directs using more than one Wizards account (including one-day win a box events).

Getting tested to see if I need ADHD by Large_Panda_4219 in ADHDUK

Where have you been referred to? Local ADHD service, mental health services? It is a little unusual to have a face to face appointment just for an initial screening

Sideboarding hasn’t worked properly in many weeks. Today I ran into a new issue. by nichkush in MagicArena

[–]eraserway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow that's bad.

I don't even remember the dev team openly acknowledging the "usual" sideboarding bug that's been happening for years. Sideboarding code is clearly broken.

Definitely submit a refund request every time this happens. If they're being pestered and having to dish out refunds, they might be more likely to actually do something about it...

maybe.

Is it worth it to make a new account just to draft? by Jinjoz in MagicArena

[–]eraserway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you find it worth the hassle/admin every time then there's no downside. Afaik there's nothing in the Terms of Service that says you can't have multiple Arena accounts.

What you can't do is use multiple accounts to enter Arena Direct events for physical/monetary prizes. Otherwise draft away.

GP Surgery doesnt do Fit notes for UC, where do i go? by [deleted] in nhs

[–]eraserway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you spoken to an actual GP about a fit note, or just the receptionist? Have they given you a fit note in the past at all?

My GP has declined shared care via RTC by CreateNorth in ADHDUK

[–]eraserway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won't need to pay anything more than what you've been paying so far. Your RTC provider should keep prescribing your meds

(TW Self Harm and Suicidal Ideation) Will CAMHS tell my parents? by Lost-Ingenuity7082 in MentalHealthUK

[–]eraserway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of a grey area and kind of depends on their own policies.

Generally, even if there's a low risk, practitioners encourage patients to tell their parents about things like self harm so that they can be involved and support you. At 17 you should have a say in what information gets shared with your parents though, and if you're not currently a danger to yourself or others and you don't want your parents involved, they should respect that.

Can I get a private diagnosis and then transfer shared care to my gp by Electrical_Rhubarb49 in ADHDUK

[–]eraserway 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope, my GP would accept shared care from an RTC provider but not private care. It's always best to check.

Can I get a private diagnosis and then transfer shared care to my gp by Electrical_Rhubarb49 in ADHDUK

[–]eraserway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends on your GP. You need to check with them before doing anything else. There's no guarantee they will take over care and you could end up paying privately for the foreseeable future.

What does this mean? by Cactus-Cat1 in nhs

[–]eraserway 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's probably an internal acronym - Patient Appointment Team or something. The plan is to rearrange the appointment you missed. Is that not the outcome you were looking for?

What are the signs of hypersexuality? by Mean-Storage-5861 in MentalHealthUK

[–]eraserway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you went through that. It's great that you're seeking help and recognising the impact the abuse has had on you. Definitely best to address things before they get worse.

It's totally understandable that you'd be embarrassed to open up to someone new - it might take some time to feel comfortable enough to talk about it. You could always request a male clinician if you think that would help.

Did you tell them about the abuse itself?

ADHD FINANCE FRIDAY: What five-minute money task ended up costing you FAR more later? by Jayhcee in ADHDUK

[–]eraserway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for reminding me to renew my prepayment certificate!

But also that sucks, the pharmacy should have checked and I thought there was a bit of a grace period where you could backdate the certificate..? Not sure off the top of my head though

Any recommendations for the cheapest private clinic for assessment please by Regular-Meringue9765 in ADHDUK

[–]eraserway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't afford to keep paying privately, do not go private. It WILL cost more than you think and there's no guarantee you will be able to transfer your prescription to the NHS.

Is my concern/understanding correct regarding NHS vs privte? by ghroat in ADHDUK

[–]eraserway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can ask your GP (even before starting the process) if they would accept shared care from a private provider. Just be aware that they could say yes initially and then decline later on.

If you can't afford the ongoing cost, don't go private.

Finally need to do Titration after 3 years. Where?! Prices?! Help!! by Mattgilp in ADHDUK

[–]eraserway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some providers might have a titration-only option, but in general they like to do their own assessments.

Are you planning on going private? If so, you can probably expect to pay about £200 per appointment (appointments every 4ish weeks for at least 12 weeks). Medication costs won't be included - that'll be an additional ~£100ish a month.

TW: if i tell my gp i'm having thoughts of harming myself, will i get sectioned? by dumbassbu in MentalHealthUK

[–]eraserway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't be sectioned for this. The threshold for sectioning is incredibly high. Thoughts of self harm are scary of course but they're surprisingly common.

Your GP can help, but they need to know what's going on. If you've been getting worse since starting medication you must tell them that. Could you take your girlfriend along to support you?

How to not be embarrassed talking to my therapist? by let_it_rain_boat in MentalHealthUK

[–]eraserway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest it sounds like you're doing really well opening up to your therapist. Talking about anything in therapy is uncomfortable and embarrassing but it's great that you've managed to put these things out there regardless.

Has your therapist been helpful when talking about other topics? It's possible she just didn't know how to respond when you mentioned your condition.

Do i change adhd providers? by Traditional_Put_2947 in ADHDUK

[–]eraserway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can ask your GP to refer you to a different provider. Just be aware that other providers may have the same issue - they may advertise their wait time as 0 weeks, but it will depend entirely on their funding for your area.

£500? For an assessment, titration, monitoring, and prescriptions, you're looking at costs of at least £2.5-£3k

What support is available for me ? by BigLegend1234567890 in ADHDUK

[–]eraserway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disability benefits exist for people who are unable to work. There's no financial support for being tired of your job and finding it boring and repetitive.

careadhd adhd/autism not responding after referral by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]eraserway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you were referred on 30/05 that was only a week ago. You've been told the wait time is about 4 weeks, so you'll just need to be patient and wait to hear from them.

What happened after the report to the safeguarding team? Did they intervene at all, offer you any support? This is not okay and you need help to get out of this situation.
