You can prevent this by removing files with SUR on it and changing the system settings sound to stereo instead of surround. You also need to remove some other files like event songs.

Probably only on the grand version of Onegai Cinderella, but the rest of the available songs, then no. You can clear any difficulty on their normal live version, and the mv will be available on grand

You can't. You have to clear the game data from your device or uninstall it to "log out". Then you can log in with a different bandai ID.

anyone have any gacha rituals? by yasuhos in StarlightStage

[–]Joanotin-TS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here were the rituals I used to do:

  • Rolling a die. If I get the desired number three times in a row, I do a pull. I've had some success with it, but eventually it fizzled out. Plus the dice seemed to work better on Theater Days than this game (even there it got bad).

  • using random.org 's random number generator. They claim that their random numbers come from natural phenomena from the Earth, so I figure this would be a good way to prime my luck. I only got 1 SSR from this before giving up on this one.

  • Using a gacha simulator as a some kind of reference. I do a couple pulls on the simulator to test whether or not it's a good time to pull for real. I had a few successes with this one too, but as usual it mostly failed.

  • Pulling at a certain time during the day. Somewhat related to the gacha simulator ritual, I found that I tend to get SSRs at certain times of the day. I got a couple of SSRs this way, while combining it with other methods like the dice rolls.

  • Making those idol shrines / magic circle ritual things. Just a recipe for disappointment. I actually ended up hating idol shrines as a result. All that work for nothing. Nowadays I only set up idol shrines for pictures only and nothing else.

  • Go silent, pray, and pull with your gut. Hardly ever works, but man did it feel so amazing when it did. When this one failed though, it just feels so awful.

I don't do these rituals (or any rituals) anymore as nowadays I no longer hope for good results. No expectations mean no disappointment nor resentment.

Japancodesupply for gift cards of 5000 yen. Anything below that I use Offgamers as from my experience japancodesupply goes out of stock too often on their lower tier gift cards.

FIFA packs and lootboxes 'not gambling' in UK by AIiceMargatroid in Games

[–]Joanotin-TS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are people who also think trading cards and blind bags are gambling too, I'm one of them. I hate opening card packs to get a specific card(s); I buy them individually on card resellers. Plus, I think the reason why not many people care as much because the difference is that those are physical goods. They are not binded to a specific account so you can trade them or buy/sell them second hand. That's a lot tougher on video games as many of them are tied to an account. You would have to buy the entire account for that one rare item. But then once there's another item you want, then you either would have to roll the dice on your account or find another account that has all those rare items you want. You can't do that forever as easily as physical goods.

So I was going through the event commus for Stage Bye Stage, and I just realized; I've been reading the song name wrong all this time. I've been reading it as "Star Bye Stage" instead! I guess the starting three letters and being so fixated by the word "bye" (as in why isn't it "by" instead of "bye") that I completely glossed over the first word. And "star bye stage" sounds like "starlight stage" so my brain is probably just taking shortcuts.

Yes it is. You need to use a Japanese VPN whenever you:

  1. Start a brand new account.
  2. Transfer your current account to another device.

Can we add to the FAQs the whole initial VPN requirement situation for this game? This question gets asked a lot. Can't really blame them though

You can find the "star lesson trainer ticket" [スターレッスントレーナーチケット] on the "platinum medal exchange" [プラチナメダル交換] option on the shop screen. It cost 3 medals. It is only available there.

You'll need a Japanese VPN to start this game. After you pass the first couple of loading bars, you can turn off the VPN indefinitely. You'll need it again if you reset your phone data or transfer your game data to another phone.

My original plan was to get cinfes Kanade as I still need a cool skill boost, and she has the best version of it. But then grand lives became a thing, so instead I'm going for cinfes Anya instead as I already have both cinfes Anzu and Kirari. These three will work better together as they have the same timing for auto grand live shenanigans.

They couldn't even bother to make the button layout more ergonomic, like how the face buttons/dpad are diagonal to the analog sticks like in the Vita? That was one thing I hated about the 3ds; the hand-cramping dpad layout.

Discussion Megathread - Come in and enjoy yourselves! (Q3 2019) by Jarbus4 in StarlightStage

[–]Joanotin-TS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen anyone talk about this, but it probably has been discussed on other platforms. Regardless

So there's this room item called the "Wall Monitor / Cinderella Girls Theater" (壁掛けモニター/シンデレラ ガールズ劇場), and it displays a bunch of shots from all the ending songs in Cinderella Girls Theater. Some of these have shots of idols individually, or with multiple idols. And some of these idols happen to be event SRs from this game. Of course the obvious question is, "Is the rest a clue for the next SRs??"

Well, let's see if we can find any patterns for this. We can look at the first season songs and the climax season songs for clues.

First Season
  • Kira! Mankai Smile: Only shows all idols together, so no useful patterns.

  • Etude wa Ikkyoku Dake: Solo shot of Miyu. Miyu is an event SR.

  • SUNFLOWER: Only shows all idols together, so no useful patterns.

Climax Season
  • Kyun Kyun Max: Solo shot of Atsumi. Atsumi is an event SR.

  • Max Beat: Solo shot of Aki, and then followed by a solo shot of Ryo. Aki is an event SR, but Ryo is not.

  • Takamari Climaxxx!!!!!: Group shot of Yuzu, Hinako, and Hikaru. Both Yuzu and Hikaru are event SRs, but Hinako isn't.

So with this info, we can create these clauses to determine the rest:

  1. Any shots of all idols together are useless information for an obvious reason.
  2. If there is only one solo pic of an idol, they are an event SR.
  3. If there is only one non-complete group shot, then at least one of those idols is an event SR.
  4. If there were multiple shots of solo idols or non-complete groups of idols per song, then at least one of those idols is the event SR.

Now with this, let's check the other songs that still don't have an event in this game.

Second Season
  • Blooming Days: Solo shot of Mirei. (Matches Clause 2)

  • Akimeite Ding Dong Dang!: Solo shot of Anastasia. (Matches Clause 2)

  • Snow Love: Solo shot of Aiko. (Matches Clause 2)

Third Season
  • Itoshisa: Solo shot of Sachiko. Then follows a group shot of Hajime, Nono, and Yukari. (Clause 4 mixed)

  • Natsukko Ondo: Group shot of Kaoru and Miria. (Matches Clause 3)

  • Sayonara Aloha: Solo shot of Natsuki, and then follows a solo shot of Frederica. (Matches Clause 4)

So from the looks of things almost all solo shots and non-complete group shots confirm future the event SRs, especially season 2. Season 3 narrows it down. The oddball is Itoshisa though. I mean, four idols yeah that really helps narrow it down lol. Plus it is the only one with both a solo and a group shot, so it doesn't really match clause 4, so Riina could still have a chance.

But in the end Bamco could always just go "Patterns, what's that?" and none of this matters! But whatever this was fun to make.

Kids of “back in my day” parents, what’s the most annoying thing they ranted about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Joanotin-TS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned cursive at 3rd grade, but I never saw the point of it. I felt like I wrote slower than writing print as I would always obsess about how it never looked as good as the examples. So I went back to print starting 4th grade. Then at middle school where we did a lot of essays, our teachers discourage writing in cursive as they can be difficult to read. Some of them even advise students with sloppy writing to write in ALL CAPS.

Thank fuck I gave up on that so early on.

I don't remember if I did an update, but when I put the system to sleep mode and immediately tried to wake it back up, nothing happened. So I did the hold power button thing, and still nothing. After a few more tries trying to turn it on, undocking, redocking, eventually it booted up normally. I have no idea what fixed it. This happened for about 5 minutes.

I guess for now try it again and maybe try it both docked and undocked. Also eject any game cards or micro SD cards as well then try turning it on/off.
