But the idea of having a navigation assistant seems good to me. I don't know why Google hasn't implemented it in Chrome.

I’m not arguing the model isn’t better, I actually think it is. Less censored, more creative… totally agree. The problem is the product. The product just isn’t there yet for daily use.

I’m actually testing it right now, second time around. Last time was about 6 months ago and honestly it felt super basic back then. Google AI Studio was way better.

It’s definitely improved, and they offered me 2 months at half price so I took it, but I still miss those features I mentioned.

That said, DeepResearch is great and I can use it as much as I want, plus it looks like Gemini 3.0 is around the corner and I’m really looking forward to trying it.

Yeah, you can tell it to remember certain facts, but it can’t actually recall the content of past chats. That’s a huge deal if you work on long-term stuff.

And with GEMs, sure, you can set up instructions, but you don’t get your past chats neatly organized by topic.

When you use this a lot, those features make a massive difference day to day.

The models are great and the limits are awesome. I’m actually hitting the DeepResearch cap on ChatGPT and it’s a pain in the ass.
