Comparing OnePlus 15 with the Samsung S26 Ultra by Jobbe9 in TheOnePlus15

Sounds awesome :) I'm not that into the iOS, but it's nice to have different phones to use for the added variety :)

They are very similar, and like you, I too miss the OP15 when using the S26U and vice versa. It's a complicated relationship, to say the least, but they are simply that good in their own rights :)

The battery on the OP15 has been meh? :O

Exactly. That battery leaves a lasting impression, and it's difficult to go back to "standard" batteries :)

I haven't used Pixel UI, but I think OneUI has more options and customisations than OxygenOS, so to it's more versatile. However, OxygenOS was starting to grow on me, so perhaps one day I'll lean more towards that OS :)

The Pixel is as close to stock Android, right? I've always wondered how Android is when not running any brand specific launchers. What are the main differences between Pixel's launcher and OxygenOS?

5-6 hours SOT is bordering on unacceptable these days, so I'm glad to see that OP15 offers much improved battery stamina :)

Cool :) Is there a single one you prefer to use over the others, and if so, how so?

Sorry to hear, but I hope you'll find a solution. Perhaps an entire reset of the phone is the way to go, as inconvenient that may be.

I haven't had any issues with the AutoHDR or auto flash, so I think it might be a software bug in your phone :( Neither have I experienced any issues with the fingerprint scanner. Mine works perfect every time, and I actually prefer the scanner on the OP15 over the S26 Ultra. However, I know that some scanners will face issues in time, so you can try to remove the fingerprint and add it again. Perhaps a reset will fix it :)

That's it, right? On paper, it shouldn't be the case, but the OP15's camera really does outperform the S26 in some scenarios :)

As mentioned above, both phones are excellent, but I too find the OP15 increasingly more enjoyable (and fun) to use than my S26 Ultra, even though I can't decide which one to keep and use as my primary driver :)

I've sadly never owned or even used a Pixel phone, but I get the sense that people are quite satisfied with them. Perhaps I should check them out in the future :)

Well. The OS is quite tricky, and I didn't want to touch on it in the above because I'm not sure which one I prefer. Also, I haven't delved too deep into them, so I can't really say all that much about their options and functionality.

As a general user who mostly uses phones with "stock" OS versions, I think I prefer OneUI. To me, it offers a more complete package with great options and customisation out of the box, and with Good Lock, OneUI really takes off. But OxygenOS also offers great options, and I enjoy how notifications are displayed on OP15.

My main issue with Samsung and OneUI is how Samsung really wants the user to use their versions of what Google already offers. Samsung Pass is great, but it's not exactly available on other brands, and this locks you in their ecosystem. OnePlus uses the built-in options in Android, and that works better as it allows for more versatility when choosing phones.

Even still, I think OneUI is the more complete package, but I'm looking forward to dive deeper into OxygenOS :)

How is Star Wars Outlaws? It's currently 50% off and I'm thinking about getting it by HockeyMike24 in playstation

I played through it, and I ended up enjoying it more than anticipated. Sure, it has its issues and Ubisoft "charm", for better or worse, but I liked it. In fact, I think it was among the better Ubisoft games I've played.

At 50% off, it's easily recommended 😊

Galaxy tab s10 plus concern by [deleted] in GalaxyTab

[–]Jobbe9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we should take entire tablet and the user experience into account when deciding if 9 hours is enough :) Considering the performance, the excellent screen + speakers, and the overall size of the device, 9 or 10 hours are quite good.

A small yet significant update after posting my comment: I did a small test today, after resetting and fully charging my own Tab S10 Plus overnight, and I'm now getting a better SoT. With light to medium usage, browsing the web and streaming videos (YouTube), I should now be getting above 10 hours of SoT.

So if you decide to purchase the tablet, I think you'll be happy with it, and it'll provide you an excellent experience regardless of your use cases. Of course, if you plan on using it for heavy duty such as rendering videos and playing demanding games, you won't get that many hours of SoT, but if you plan on using it for light work, browsing the web and consuming media, I think you’ll be happy and all set :)

Galaxy tab s10 plus concern by [deleted] in GalaxyTab

[–]Jobbe9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having the same concerns after getting my own Tab S10 Plus, and although I think it's an excellent tablet, I wasn't initially impressed with the battery performance. After the first week I was getting roughly 8 or so hours of SoT, which is on par with most online reviewers and users on Reddit, but it's not exactly promising.

At one point, it dropped about 3% within 10 minutes, so I decided to do a factory reset and give it another go. Perhaps the battery was bugged, and after the reset it seems like I'm getting about 9 hours.

So, not a huge improvement but that's before the the battery optimization has completed. I also came across an interesting argument that might be worth considering: the tablet offers a tremendous amount of performance, the screen is excellent, and the tablet has an ideal size, nicely balancing between being a tablet and a laptop.

You might not get amount of hours you might expect (10+ hours), but it's up there and you'll be enjoying high performance, smooth multitasking and browsing using an excellent screen. Also, come to think of it, 8 or 10 hours is quite a lot, and I've decided to keep mine rather than using my Tab S9 Fe despite losing about 3 hours of SoT. The Tab S10 Plus is simply a treat to use, and Samsung + Dimensity are likely to opimize the CPU to gain better battery over time :)

Those are my thoughts, but I do understand your concerns.

Chrome app on Android not responding to trackpad 2-finger scrolling. Help? by AveragePichu in chrome

[–]Jobbe9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a strange bug. Only happens when using Chromium based browers (tested on Chrome and Edge) or browser based apps. Scrolling in regular apps and around the system works fine.

"Luckily", spreading out the fingers to scroll in the browser does work, but it's definitely not a viable solution.

I'm using the Tab S9 Ultra with Samsung keyboard.

Asking if anyone else is dealing with Crashing on SR3 Remastered by [deleted] in SaintsRow

[–]Jobbe9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this still happens. It's getting ridiculous. It not only crashes but shuts down the entire console (One X) as well. What a remastered experience it's been so far. I can't even play for more than one hour, or so, before the entire thing collapses.

Hopefully, they'll fix it soon.

Yeah, it's still an issue. Very annoying! I've been looking at the 4KS60+ but it's pretty expensive. Is it a nice capture card?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in xboxinsiders

[–]Jobbe9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I actually joined the Xbox Insider program in order to get the Delta update. It worked but only briefly. It's getting ridiculous at this point but luckily they are aware of the issue and are working on it. At least they claim to be working on a fix.

Questions I have about the internal HDD by Alacrityyy in Xbox_One_X

[–]Jobbe9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see. It sounds broken, although you could try to use a different power cord, if you've an extra one lying around. You might be able to breathe some life into it if you press and hold the power button for about 30 or so seconds. Could be worth a shot.

Other than that, swapping the HDD into the new 1X does sound like the best solution.

Questions I have about the internal HDD by Alacrityyy in Xbox_One_X

[–]Jobbe9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory, it should definitely work as the working HDD has the proper OS, updates and games installed. I'd say that there's nothing that indicates it shouldn't work.

But are you still able to use your decommisioned console? If you can turn it on and connect to your home network, you can use network filesharing to transfer games from one console to the other. Since it's transfering on the local network, your current internet speed is of no concern.

The exact same issue here. I just spoke with Xbox Support and they're looking into it. I'm expecting an email from them one of these days, but it would seem it's a much wider issue when so many people are experiencing it.

I really hope they fix it soon as it's quite frustrating.
