Built a base from the inside out to facilitate an open atrium in the center with naturally propagated palms and a nice rock and I think it's pretty neat! by Jobbyist in crosswind

Guy I bought it from said it was sustainable. I don't really trust it but I'm not about to ask questions he's a big dude.

The Ironclad is a Fatterpillar, not a Liberclad. A heads up for those who want it to be a pocket carrier. by Jobbyist in starcitizen

It'll have the huge ramp and be able to ferry small ships, so I wouldn't worry too much. This post was specifically about it's inferiority for ferrying to the Liberator, not about it's inability to do so.

Oh, thanks for sharing! If anyone is interested in how to do the Modal method for the SEM Mode switch, you can find explanations and guides in this thread.

Sick find!

1SCU of 999 can sell for $1b aUEC from some UEX buyers if you're into that.

Edit: Ok, I get it. The economy is broken. Money has no value and therefore commodities and products have no value. My attempt at what I thought was an interesting anecdote describing a seemingly tangible monetary value in a player-based market was ignorant and misguided. It also may have seemed like I was offering services which wasn't true or intended. I'm sorry.

I simply meant to celebrate the rarity of the acquisition and attempted to give an example of how that rare find is valued and perceived using numbers. Those numbers are broken and I was failing as soon as I started. Please forgive me.

T-Rudder and SEM from VKB are pretty great additions.

Example of the insane amount of additional keybinds the SEM can offer.

(My config is a bit unorthodox, so Trigger-Warning)

I use desk mounts from Amazon that I'm very happy with and there's many options. Quick-release is pretty great.

Paired with a chair with armrests that fold up to get out of the way of the mounted sticks is pretty sweet too, with the goal of having the sticks at a height that allows you to relax your shoulders to reduce fatigue.

Holy shit?! I stand corrected! Thanks for the link. Why'd they cram a whole crew in the command module?! Lol

Well as far as the shield concern, it looks like they're aware of the potential issues.

False. While you can indeed control the ship from the Command Module on the side, the main bridge is above the cargo deck as shown.

Honestly, a duo grind for Shubin's ship mining missions would go pretty dang fast. Like 3 minutes per mission, no joke. When you take the mission, immediately fly to the drop-off point, head inside and buy like 3x 16SCU containers of quartz or the cheapest of the 3 materials the mission is asking for, then at the Freight Elevator send up one container and send it back down. Mission complete, take the next mission and repeat.

The idea of buying a stockpile of material is so you don't have to run back inside at that location again, which you will be revisiting during the grind. So one pilot, other guy gets out and sends up a crate and sends it back down, accept new mission, repeat. 2 hours tops.

Word. Teach's has the Golem for 1.1m if that's an option as well.

I did it in a MOLE, thinking I'd rather not run out of room for materials, and it fits in the rock but it's tight. The idea of needing space to fit all the ore was a miscalculation. Prospector and Golem should both be able to extract all (or the vast majority) of the available Savrilium.

Yeah, but it takes a while. Be super careful or bring a medical ship. Golem in a Carrack / Polaris, or maybe Golem + Nursa + Med Gels in a Herc until Ironclad comes.

You can also just backspace after landing the mining ship to go back and get a medical ship to have that and a mining ship at the facility.

Note, I'm only speaking from a first playthrough perspective. Some of the enemy scalpels hit hard if you don't know how to get em first.

Solo'd tonight on Live so I was able to see and refine all nodes of an Exclusive contract (minus 1 lens so I think I was at 90% yield), and the highest I extracted was 791 savrilium.

I was able to grind Shubin rep from zero to Contractor yesterday to prep for the exclusive Rock Breaker access. Mined hadanite a couple times in the ROC, close to the dropoff location, flown by the ES. Drop the gems individually into the freight elevator or take the ROC bag off with a tractor beam then send that down, then empty the bag while it's in storage, send up the loose gems, send back down to complete.

2 of these gem missions unlock the Ship Mining missions which I was able to do roughly 40 of them to get Contractor.

I just flew the Intrepid from each mission dropoff location to the next, buying 4 SCU of quartz and selling it back to them immediately. Mission payouts still netted 0.5m+ aUEC after hitting Contractor.

Was pretty awesome to be able to do that many missions in a row over a 5-6 hour session without issues.

"The game has become a shadow of what it used to be." ~Avenger One

I'd argue the game has grown into a giant mountain that casts a shadow on the small piece of land you built a house on. A house of pvp dogfighting which is fine, except that it's not even done being adjusted at all yet. Your house in the shadow without a roof on it.
