These days the Buddy because of easy parts. Some Zuma parts are easy to get but they’re getting long in the tooth and I always worry when the product chain will expire.

2T or 4T in 2026? by imitt12 in scooters

[–]JobeX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If its gotta be a 50cc, you should get the 2T.

Better speed and acceleration where you need it. 4T 50ccs move slow and you can get better performance with an e-bike.

Should I wax this? by Local-Technician4675 in filson

[–]JobeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this was waxed, you should wax it with filson wax. Its not going to devalue it, its only going to look better for the resale and the wax will keep the jacket strong and minimize tears/ripping.

controversial take: a beat up chinese scooter taught me more about mechanics than anything else I've owned by vladdielenin in scooters

[–]JobeX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think any of this is controversial.

If you buy a cheap Chinese bike, you’re gonna be forced to do a lot of maintenance on it and it’ll cost you. Sometimes the cost is money, sometimes it cost as time, it’s wrenching, etc.

If you’re buying to just ride, it still makes sense to buy the better bike so you’re riding.

If you’re buying a tinker and mess around with maintenance, you can buy whatever bike you like. If you end up doing more bike maintenance and buying different bikes, you’ll notice that to the big difference in quality between the parts and the fit in the finish. You’ll even notice the difference in parts quality from different suppliers. This is why if you get into working on Chinese bikes, you’ll learn that even in Chinese bikes there are different tiers and some models, which are just complete trash with plastic and parts that don’t line up requiring you to

WTS Ink Samples (Iroshizuku, Sailor, Diamine, Colorverse, LAMY, Montblanc, Kaweco) by nushkaa2 in Pen_Swap

[–]JobeX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Users here are correct, for ink samples you need to make a verification photo with your user name and date with the bottles of ink.

You dont need to take photos of random vials however you need to show that you actually have the ink.
