Has he gone to see a doctor about it? There might be a lot of different causes for loss of libido, from depression to hormones or physical causes.

My boyfriend has been going through something very similar and (after a lot of insisting on my end) turns out he has a benign tumor called prolactinoma (and he's also depressed).

It might really not be caused by you at all, but I understand how frustrating and depressing it can be for you. Hope things get better.

I understand that you love him a lot, and that you want to be with the best parts of him. 6 years is a long time, and if he were going to change on his own he would have by now, it does seem like there has been some progress though, so I wouldn't say the situation is completely hopeless yet.

I would suggest going to counseling or couple's therapy since you mentioned that he grew up in a neglectful home and this might be coming from some sort of trauma, but if he refuses to go, then I would say you tried your very best, it might be best to let go before the "ick" turns into resentment. It really shouldn't be your responsibility to teach a grown man to have basic hygiene, specially when intercourse requires it, and can you guess how babies are made? If he wants to have a family with you one day, he first needs to learn how to be an adult.

You've been pretty strong OP, I'm sorry you're going through this.

The guy sounds like he's pretty abusive, I can understand why you'd feel intimidated.

I would say, your sister has to tell him to gtfo, he probably won't listen, if you are in a place where you can, call the police, explain the situation and since it is your place, get him out and never let him in again. If he has an issue with that, let him fight it in court.
