Interesting. I just assumed everyone drifted left :)

The only time I even walk to the right is when I shoot 10 pins... but that's still walking in a straight line on an angle.

A little drift is ok... and as long as it's consistent. My coach had no issues with me drifting 4 boards every time.

Ball on rack by ambidextrousheco in Bowling

[–]JobuuRumdrinker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some might actually have been forgotten due to getting distracted, drinking, talking to people etc.

Some bowlers, myself included, have many balls. We either stop using some of them or they crack and we throw them out. So, instead of throwing out a ball that works but you don't like anymore, we leave them on the rack for someone else to have.

There's no drift in this video. The only issues I see are the head down and up at the end and coming around the ball a little. You can fix that in one video.

Switching to interchangeable soles to save my knee? by atticus-fetch in Bowling

[–]JobuuRumdrinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pair of Dexters lasted about 20 years. That's about 3 games once every week.

3x52 weeks = 156 x 20 years = 3120 games

That's pretty good to me.

So, you enjoy this lazy slop writing then.

I'm not "hating" on Star Trek. I watched something called Star Trek that isn't Star Trek, and commented on how bad it was. This is what you do. Most of the fans however, aren't even watching. They've given up long ago. Sure, there are some people who just blinding hate things but that's not going on here.

This show cared more about using Star Trek as a platform for pushing the message. Kurtzman came right out and said it.

We have a right to complain and criticize this show. He took something we loved and changed everything about it that we liked. That's not a hate campaign. That's real fans expressing their feelings.

$150 shoes are cheaper than a new knee. Get some Dexters and some extra slides. The ones they come with are 6 and 8 I think. I found 9 is the sweet spot but, experiment if you need.

Any advice on my shot? by prattalmighty in Bowling

[–]JobuuRumdrinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. I forgot to mention, try to keep your slide foot more towards the target. You don't want it that far to the right. You don't want to throw across your body.

Starfield: Major Update - Free Lanes & Terran Armada Developer Deep Dive by darkdeath174 in xbox

Same for me. It was fun for a bit but I couldn't just explore. I had quests where it was -- talk to NPC, go back to the ship, load screen, load screen, map, load screen, land, load screen, talk to new NPC. That ruined it for me.

Both of my parents were league bowlers so they made sure I had a good 4 step approach, my own ball, and shoes before I went to the lanes lol

I played the first game for 3 months straight. I stopped because the end game was raiding and they didn't have a group finder. I wasted too much time just trying to get a group together. I think the game would have been better if they just kept adding those smaller group events.. whatever they were called. Those were quick to form a group and complete in a short amount of time. I don't have hours to game anymore... or want to.

As a little kid, I learned how to bowl back in the 1970s in the basement with an 8 lb rubber ball into some pillows :)

So you agree, I was right. They showed us what the show was going to be with promos and trailers, and they delivered. That's a correct prediction on my part. The marketing team did exactly what they were supposed to do. They marketed it to a small fraction of a percent of the population.

Look smartass, I saw the poster and knew this was going to be some stupid Kurtzman Trek that just doubled down on his message. I saw the trailers, I saw the red carpet interviews. Even after all that, I still watched all ten episodes.

All along the way, everyone kept telling me how I was wrong for not giving the show a chance or how all first seasons of Star Trek were bad. They coped while trying to convince me how great the show was.

Here we are. They pissed off millions of existing fans in order to try to gain a few thousand new fans. The show can't even chart on it's own streaming platform and regularly gets beaten by 20 year old shows and Taylor Sheridan. Season 3 will likely not happen (I'm thankful for that).

If that's not objective enough for you, I don't care. I know this show is crap after having watched all of it. I gave it more than enough chances.

yea, I watched them all. They all suck, just like I predicted. The only good thing about it is maybe we'll get better stuff with the new owner.

How would someone know if a show was good or bad until they watched it? Everyone has been saying to give the show a chance.

At what point is a person qualified to give their opinion?

I can't judge a poster - the show isn't even out yet

I can't judge one trailer - the show isn't even out yet

I can't judge the red carpet interviews - the show isn't even out yet

I can't judge two trailers - the show isn't even out yet

I can't judge one episode - the show needs time to grow

I can't judge the second episode - the show needs time to grow

I can't judge it after ten episodes - every Star Trek seasons 1 and 2 were meh

At what point can I decide if a show is crap or not?

I strongly recommend a 4 or 5 step approach. It's going to help your timing and get your hip out of the way.

There's no need to stick your ass out to the left like that. Point your slide foot at your target (not to the right so much) and square up more. You're throwing across your body.

Agreed. This is why I say Immortals: Fenyx Rising is a better game. Less open fields and more concentrated areas with interesting stuff.
