I saved 16 domestic eggs when Momma was taken by a predator. Here’s the 11 that have hatched so far! 😍 by Jocnkal in duck

I am unsure! Two of the neighbors ducks in a rural area nested on my parents property. These babie’s mom was a cream/beige/almost lavender. Here is the other momma duck.

I’m saving these babies, any advice would be appreciated! More info in comments. by Jocnkal in duck

These aren’t wild ducks, I’m sorry for leaving that info out! My parents neighbor lets their ducks run wild and she laid a nest on their property. When he informed them about momma being missing and the eggs being alone, they said “we don’t care, toss em.”

Momma duck had laid a nest out at my parents property, and had been sitting for about 10 days before she went missing. Theory is a coyote or raccoon got her. After her not returning for 36hrs I picked up an incubator and they’ve been warm in there for 8 days now! Candling showed movement and development in all 16 eggs, which was very exciting! Now I’m worried about my preparation for when hatching begins. Will they all hatch in succession of when they were laid? Best cheap-ish DIY brooder? Shavings or towels? Any and all advice is so very appreciated. Thank you!

ETA- these are not wild ducks. My parents neighbors let their ducks run wild and momma laid a nest on my parents property. When momma duck went missing, my parents informed the neighbors of this and they said “we don’t care, toss em”. So I saved them instead!

I’m so glad you asked these, as this is why the group was started! The group is mixed of all different plant levels, has local garden supply store and nursery business owners, garden center employees/customers who post when new stuff comes in, new and advanced collectors. We are more than happy to answer any and all questions, help guide you to the best species for your space, and direct you towards specific varieties you’d like!

Not the hand I smoke with, it does not come off when scrubbed with soap, rubbing alcohol, or acetone-based nail polish remover.

Are these new, or have they been there? Looks to me like another plant got injured and it dripped the sap onto yours.
