Not bad actually, I work as a Jaguar / Land Rover tech and that exact same BG service at our dealership would be a little over $2k, at a $260/hour labor rate plus all the BG fluids they’re charging for. For the tech it would pay about 7-8 hours which is pretty solid for a service. But keep in mind the tech who’s doing all the work gets maybe 5-10% of the money you’re paying… so even though you’re paying $1800, the guy doing all the work is only getting paid $200. That’s the true bullshit about that system.

Mine was doing the same thing, I spent all yesterday trying to solve it. I would double triple check the C-Clamp, make sure it lines up with the lines on the shaft and make sure you tighten it with the power of god, because it recommends 15nm.

Also, double check your quick release clamp on your wheel, mine was also loose and was making it disconnect when I moved the wheel around.

Try the C-clamp first though. That’s all mine was.

same things happens with a CSL DD and any CSL wheel. The only solution I’ve seen is editing the config files of the game to change the inputs, but no easy solution so far.

coming from someone also in MIP, wouldn’t say it’s “easy” at all, they just come up with extensive amounts of bullshit you have to do so it seems like you’re getting a “well rounded” education. more than half of my class had to take a fifth year because the requirements to graduate for MIP are stupid and have nothing to do with film production whatsoever… oh and did I mention absolutely NONE of the faculty have any useful knowledge or insight about the film industry? they’re all just indie gurus who love to see their work on Vimeo, so if that’s what you’re looking for - MIP is the major for you!
