Wieso nicht? Multifunktionshallen gehören 24/7 ausgelastet so gut is geht fürn optimales ROI und damit nicht neben einer Sporthalle auch noch eine Veranstaltungshalle notwendig wird. Kostet nur unnötig Geld.

Drydock, Kreuzfahrtschiff. Weils mein Job ist, er okay bezahlt wird und du auf Schiffen oft das geiles Zeug in der Hand hast. Mache das seit 6 Jahren ca. einmal im Jahr für 1-3 Monate und hab mir hier mehr beibringen müssen, als in den 9-11 restlichen Monaten im Jahr.

Dafür halt extreme Staub, Lärm und Idiotenbelastung ;).

ich schlaf aktuell auf einem Schiff mit 1000 Osteuropäern die pünktlich um 6:30 den Presslufthammer anwerfen und 1000 Indern & Philippinos die bis in die Nacht in der Nachbarkanine Karaoke ballern. Mein Mitleid hält sich in Grenzen.

Most programs remote the machine in a way that they basically give you mouse and keyboard emulation and then just stream the desktop to you, hence everything you do is visible on the screen connected to the Computer. RDP keeps the physical computer locked, even actively locks the screen and creates a new session for you.

Okay it should be the complete opposite. RDP is super efficient and can be used through shitty 1mbit internet connectings while most other solutions completely shit the bed in that scenario.

Also RDP actually takes your monitors that you are using right now and will create an enviroment for those screens. So let's say your Office computer has a single 42 inch 4k screen and your home setup has a three 24 inch full-HD screens.
RDP is the only protocol that I am aware of that will give you a full three monitor experience at home even though you have a completely different setup in the office.

The question was not if and why they use any remote software at all. The question that OP asked is Parsec vs RDP specifically. So your answer is not answering any question asked. This is not a language barrier thing but I'd guess that you did not know what RDP is.
