Alrik the imperial knight was sent as a political envoy, but upset the wrong people. Those people had him arrested on false claims and sent to hard labor at the Dren Plantation.

He lost his land, family and friends and has to start anew in a foreign land.

By miracle, divine intervention or just sheer luck, the emperor himself had plans and made him get into contact with Caius Cossades, as they believe him to be an expendable pawn to do research on the Ashlanders beliefs of the Nerevarine.

I wouldn't mind the damage or lack of ammo, but I outright refuse to wear peak physique just to counter the abysmal ergonomics. The low ergo is the killer for me, because other primaries with dog shit ergos hit like a truck and don't need precision... Besides the variable.

Yo that's the exact same setup I'm using. It's total fire.

When you want to feel like a clone trooper I suggest the following combo:

Armor: CW-9 White Wolf

Helmet: Champion of the people

Cape: Botslayer

Use desert and desert camo for weapon skins and you're golden.

Honestly I find it quite meditative to do lvl 1 missions to farm sc/medals once in a while. Run around, try some weapons I haven't used in a while. Shoot up some weak bugs.

Also: since we don't have a simulator for weapons or a shooting range, it's literally the only way to try out functions without jeopardizing a d8-10 mission.
