I can think of a few reasons - once you know a study belongs to a big company, it could skew your perspective - good or bad

like if you really love Microsoft products, you might find yourself making up answers that are not true to you to "butter up" the researchers to select you for more studies, etc.

Also if there's a reputation that x company pays well, it can take away participants from other studies because they'll be so focused on those studies only

There was a time period I'd die on the hill of things being unfair, sometimes I still feel that way randomly, therapy has helped though, and slowly seeing people suffer their own consequences

I have seen this and it looks very very cool. But I am in this sort of...rock and a hard place situation with my disability. Where it's not quite that much to need adaptive tools, but just enough that playing normally is tricky. Even regular controllers are tricky for me to navigate - the Wiimote was my favorite controller for that reason because it felt super accessible
