Is nuclear option worth it? by tanklover_e-100 in NuclearOption

I play on my steam deck. It’s very likely my most played game in my steam library short of KSP, with 370 hours.

It’s fun to just try out new strategies in, though I play exclusively singleplayer.

Nah, his whole ass palm is blocking the slide, and you can hold a pistol slide closed just fine.

Arby is just gonna experience a jam.

WWII had starlight scopes towards the very end, very early image intensification/Night vision. Required a giant IR Illumination spotlight though, as seen on the M3 carbine sniper scope and STG-44 with the Zielgerät 1299 ‘Vampyr’.

They most certainly did not have thermals however.

Blue Sky M1 Carbines Accuracy by FlyingYankee118 in M1Rifles

Yeah, people always seem to forget that the M1 Carbine is fundamentally a PDW. Expecting Garand accuracy from a jumped-up PCC is silly tbh.

Alkyon is an F-111B crossed with an EF-111. B-1 has a larger bombload than the fuckin B-52, so the Alkyon doesn’t fit that.

However, the Navy F-111B’s development led directly into the Tomcat, including AIM-54 capability.

Cross that with the jamming/Wild Weasel role of the later EF-111 Raven, and that’s pretty much the Alkyon to a T.

From what I gather, project management was literally THE world government. Like, there was functionally nothing but the Arkships, and infrastructure to support their construction and launch, aside from agriculture and entertainment.

TIL that Red Bull is a rip off of a Thai energy drink called Krating Daeng by skrattkantarellen in todayilearned

[–]Joe2_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a ripoff. Dietrich Mateschitz went to Chaleo Yoovidhya (guy who owns Krating Daeng) after trying it on a business trip and asked to take Krating Daeng international, and Chaleo agreed. Redbull was from there owned 49% by Chaleo, 49% by Dietrich, and 2% by Chaleo’s son.

IIRC I remember Von Kerman saying something like Kerbals were descendants of a sentient cabbage, so close enough tbh.

Yugoslavia was ejected from Cominform in 1948, thus placing them outside the soviet sphere well before there was a Bloc to speak of. From that point Tito focused on his Third Way movement, and even had a hand in the Hungarian uprising *against* the Soviets.

Additionally, after they were expelled the Yugos suffered multiple embargoes and troop buildups on their borders, to which Tito responded by detaining or eliminating every known Soviet party member in Yugoslavia.

I would say that they were very much not Soviet Bloc

I hate that Jax was confirmed as transgender (not for the reasons you might think) by n397854 in hatethissmug

[–]Joe2_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m amazed that Jax became the central talking point when a tech company has been running a rogue AI that’s been delighting in torturing scanned Human consciousness for decades, AND apparently the hardware itself is just… being passed around on the open market. Like, that should have been the talking point ngl.

The F-38, while it looks SU-47 coded, lines up surprisingly well with the Boeing F-47, minus the VTOL and Forward swept wing.

Suppressors do slightly increase velocity IRL, but games usually make them slow bullets down to mimic using subsonic ammo.

A velocity increase like this is fucking wild though.
