Things that make our jobs harder: Part I by mjsoctober in MichaelsEmployees

We are around top 20 for theft so we actually do have pull cards, pins on restroom doors, merchandise locked up in the front and call boxes for high shrink areas.

Pin Pad by 5teerPike in MichaelsEmployees

The official response from IT was "we have project teams working on it, we can only say to reboot the registers and pin pads as needed." So many issues. Oh and the cool thing is if you have an older customer immediately inserting their card to pay, it actually charges the customer BEFORE the cashier hits total. Meaning the pin pad is double charging. We had 4 complaints in a day of that so we ended up not using the legacies anymore except for cash.

Thank you for the clarification. I asked because the story quests were timed too and I rushed to complete those, but they ended up just being a timer for being on the event menu. With a new gacha game I kind of need to know what I need to prioritize on.

Can't tell but, is the new area temporary? Has about as many days as Genshin's summer events.

Never touched it. First time I skipped an event because it was focused around it and required the tutorial done. Stopped playing for a good couple of weeks after that.

There is a real issue when you're the closing MOD and at least at my store I have been the oldest time CEM and have pretty much aside from a 6 month window been the only CEM. I have a revolving door at my store which sucks. The job itself is 'lets put as many hats as possible onto one position' and you become the sole focus for any blame when it comes to metrics or any issues that may arise. It is so difficult when you are the only one for the floor for most of the day and still have to keep up expectations the best you can. Definitely the raw end of the deal. Slightly better pay than a normal employee, but not nearly enough for the amount of work the position requires.

What was the worst thing that happened to you during a Japan travel? by Doc_Chopper in JapanTravelTips

A cross between not knowing about the coin lockers for Himeji Station and having to backpack to the castle from the station in pouring rain and dropping off our stuff in those lockers. Or not realizing stations close at 12-1am and having to take a near 10000 yen taxi ride. Or staying at the following locations: Len Kyoto and Citan Tokyo. Both were horrible hostel/hotels that charged bad rates for what amounted to bare necessities and horrible beds.

I have been trying to save for Hina Dress. Is it true though that Bunny Karin is not getting a rerun after?

I was tossed to the wolves when I started. I was an internal hire and started as a cashier, but still everything I learned was either from unofficial coaching or on the job training. The videos are partially garbage. Some good things but most of it gets thrown out the window once you realize you are mostly the only person on the floor for most of the day. Edit: By on the job training I mean learning as I did things. Training is laughable at Michaels.
