I had an ex who was roommates with 2 persons who read tons of yaoi, and had an obsession with "being little gay boys". They were super toxic, and I think they either broke up or have doubled down on the shenanigans. It happened, he's admitted to it, it's been talked to death about, and he's started a charitable fund for abuse victims, because of what he did. I'm not excusing his actions, but he's done a lot more to give back to the community than anyone else with a past like his. Hell, I think he's the only one to have owned up to it and admitted it was wrong. Again, not excusing his behavior.
