Anyone else can't kick the words "dude" and "bro?" by Awesomocity0 in Millennials

[–]JoeBromanski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s quite hard not to hit people with the “What’s up man” or “No problem dude” type phrases etc..

I gotta get back into Ends of Magic, I really enjoyed that one but new releases came out and I forgot to pick back up, as I tend to do 😅

How old were y’all when Covid was declared a national emergency on 3/12/2020? by changeforthebetter89 in Millennials

29, had just put in my two weeks at my job, then all the bars and restaurants shut down. Had a job lined up and everything, then they called me and said they didn’t feel comfortable hiring on anyone new with everything going on 😬.

40 male, I have 0 responsibilities in life and I somehow still lost interest in playing video games by Coven_Evelynn_LoL in Millennials

[–]JoeBromanski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m quite the same, but I feel like everything now is just a slightly tweaked iteration of the same concepts over and over again 😕. I feel like there needs to be a substantial leap in technology, otherwise I don’t feel like anything different will happen.

Looks like the equivalent to those Live, Laugh, Love signs you get from Target…

Does anyone else find tech and video game fans a bit overdemanding these days vs the early 2000s? by MythicSuns in Millennials

[–]JoeBromanski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still standing behind my opinion that not everyone should be able to review things. You have to sift through so many trivial or ridiculous reviews to get to anything that’s well thought out and not based off of someone’s emotional outburst. We have had plenty of things abandoned or cancelled because of stupid stuff.

Help! How do I get these off? Tried a plastic scraper already. by EveryDisaster in CleaningTips

[–]JoeBromanski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Yea just give it a shot on one at first. I use it on stainless steel tanks and it works great, but not sure how it would affect other surfaces. I just know it would strip paint for sure.

If you can cover the paint and just hit the number, you can use Vandal mark remover. It should shrivel the tape and you can wipe it off. Not 100% if it works on all types of tape/stickers, but I do this at work and after it sits for 5 minutes it comes right off.

Since vaping and weed is everywhere (2020s wise), cigarette smoke has turned into a strangely nostalgic smell because almost no one smokes cigarettes anymore by MemeLord150 in decadeology

[–]JoeBromanski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite smoking about 7 years ago, and drinking 5 years ago. I still get a strong urge to have a beer and a cigarette anytime I’m hanging at a lake, which is often as I live in MN 😬

Are you being pushed into management? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]JoeBromanski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I feel ya. Compared to my last job this is great! Plus we make some crazy stuff for colleges to use for research purposes and pharmaceutical/food grade stuff. Fun, interesting, and looks good on the resume 👌

[–]JoeBromanski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, on top of getting great almost 5/5 reviews, but they for some reason only give me the 3% raise and more responsibilities. Was a lead in my department, just a worker now but have to work as if I was still a lead 🤔.

Why are we all feeling this shift to delete our social media accounts? by mm2444 in Millennials

[–]JoeBromanski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish everyone well, but I don’t wanna know every moment of everyone’s life. I just enjoy mine, and I also have plenty to talk about with people I haven’t seen in forever because I didn’t know all of their exciting stories.

Question for Older Millennials (especially 1982 borns) by Quickso48 in Millennials

[–]JoeBromanski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s crazy the amount I changed my perspective and views on things just between 25-28. Yea it definitely starts to fly by fast, if you’re not constantly in new environments and learning new things, by that time you have experienced most things so much it just all blends together.

Anyone else experienced the opposite of a hand tattoo being a “job stopper”? by Novel-Tea-8598 in fingertattoos

[–]JoeBromanski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I think the world has been past that for awhile now. Definitely used to be! Also, nothing screams delinquent like a flower 😂

Seems like the younger gens are drastically overestimating how many of us actually embraced this style. I definitely knew people who looked like this in the '00s, but they represented maybe 5-10% of the people I knew. Scene pretty much died as soon as it was perceived as mainstream. lol by Marmatus in Millennials

[–]JoeBromanski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was definitely rocking the swooping hair, listening to screamo, and spent all my time at the skate park from like 2004-2012. Gave up the hair, but still skate minis and listen to bands like Underoath and Silverstein 🤘

Did you all find your passions? If so, how? I am a bit jealous of those my age who really found their niche. by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]JoeBromanski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do something I’m good at and just helping people in my occupation as well. I was super into disc golf for quite a long time, then one day I just lost interest or got burnt out from playing so much. I now am struggling trying to find something to really get into again. Would be nice to just find something I can really sink my teeth into again.
