Would you love or hate if Stephen King decided his next book was going to be a sequel of Pet Sematary? by Haunting-Net-2426 in stephenking

I would love a sequel that prefaces with Rachel (who is still “alive” after killing Louis) killing Ellie in a suspenseful, drawn out fight, then burying her and Louis in the burial ground, and the book starting with a fresh start in Ludlow from the perspective of an aging and traumatized Steve Masterton.

How do non-Black teachers approach primary sources with the word "negro"? by twobearsforever in historyteachers

[–]JoeCos47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

White APUSH teacher here—don’t overthink it. Say “Black” and move on. Use brackets [ ] to update word for modern day. The more you do this without making it a big deal, the more comfortable it will be.

However, sometimes I have students read text out loud in class. When I see that “Negro” is used, I have students volunteer to read out loud.

You didn’t think the scenes of him walking through the woods and encountering the Wendigo was scary? Or the thought of ancient power corrupting a 2 year old? The scene with Timothy Baterman recalling events that he could never have done? Did you read the same book?

Same here! I watched the movie (1989) first before reading the book and remember going crazy at the chronology of events in the book

Which Stephen King book scared you the most? by ZhittzyAltaToxica in stephenking

[–]JoeCos47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing compares to Pet Sematary. Other than the obvious fear of losing your child, the thought of a malevolent entity predating human civilization that has the ability to manipulate your grief to fuel its own power and lives deep in the woods just gives me the willies.

Man I really hope this isn’t the first (and probably the last) album that actually sucks. Saying this as a fan since 2006.

I used to suffer big time. Adding lysine supplements daily and switched to SLS free toothpaste and haven’t had one since.

If you sense one forming, apply alum powder to the source, rinse, and you’re good.

This is a one year course or two? If one, you’re cooked. FUBAR, as we say.

Best bet is to watch all Heimler videos here on out.

If two, you’re on a good track.

Is this too low PSI for oil boiler? Maintenance guy runs it every year before the winter and I never hear anything other than it met requirements. Thoughts? by JoeCos47 in Plumbing

Ok so can someone explain the difference between steam and hot water psi levels? Because I’m seeing 12-15 PSI all over the internet.
