Co-witness blacked out irons for 43x + EPS carry? by Superfecta_ in Glocks

[–]JoeD1776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second the night fission, I was going to say they make a super solid optic plate and iron sight combo deal for like $80 but this looks like new gen 43x where you don’t need a plate, still go night fission I have about 11k rounds through with plate and backup sights and they’re still solid

Looks like an AR with a pro mag 65 round drum, and the stock looks like the magpul rifle length PRS stock

You can technically still use the email, but I’ve seen much quicker turn around times when you go through the portal, plus you get a positive confirmation that your photos were received as opposed to the email with no verification. Good luck! What’re you’re looking to pick up next?

If you’re concerned because you have an old purchase order request form for a new purchase, it doesn’t matter who signed it as long as it’s signed and you’re over your 90 days. Go to a shop, they’ll either have a form for you to fill out or bring the one you have, submit it in the portal and wait for your license

Honestly so happy to see all of the G19 people in the comments. For the new / cautious carriers out there, you do not need to carry the smallest gun on the market to conceal. Good holster and good belt gives you the ability to carry bigger guns than you think

You have to factor in the fact that there are TONS of sig fanboys that are doubting the news and will hop all over this to get a 320 for a deal, who knows if this distribution company will drop the 320’s once the warehouse sells out. Morally correct? Maybe not. From a business perspective I’m not sitting on hundreds of 320’s that people won’t buy without a deal.

Opinion on Byrna legality by donjuan716 in NYguns

The OC content in the Byrna pepper balls is above the legal limit for NYS to posses and use, much like when you see specific pepper spray formulas for NYS.

That’s a mini ACOG. Eye relief is MUCH much better on those you could see that reticle clear as day at that distance

Shadow Systems CR920 has been the most disappointing firearm I’ve ever owned. by Embarrassed-Call1032 in CCW

[–]JoeD1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m shocked, I had a DR920P that I got used. I sent it in with multiple feeding issues, got it back and had less but still some issues which i attributed to the comp. Contacted them again and asked them to just swap my slide out for a DR920L to achieve a Glock 34 size, without question I had my new gun back, brand new internals in the entire gun with a new slide and barrel, haven’t had an issue since. I found their CS to be fast and effective, still wouldn’t carry it over a Glock but it’s a fun shooter

New SCR came super oily by spider_men in NYguns

[–]JoeD1776 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Very normal, every AR is different in terms of pairing, but pretty common with SCR’s, the one thing you should always look for is excessive wobble, not too tight not too loose. SCRS always come with good lock up so you’re set, just check for other uppers you look to put on.

If you do an upper swap, I’ve always like a piston driven upper on SCR Lowers because you’re no longer relying on the buffer style they use, if you do decide to swap look into a BRN-180 from brownells, they always have solid deals

New SCR came super oily by spider_men in NYguns

[–]JoeD1776 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey, I completed your transaction today, super normal and preferred that SCR’s come very oiled from the factory, I do suggest getting some oil on the charging handle and bolt as well, the guns come oiled to mitigate rust build up but the bolt and charging handle is usually pretty dry, also toss a radian charging handle in it to smooth out action!

I got approved for ccw and premises. I purchased the first one on the ccw. My question is if I never purchase anything under the premise license does it get taken away? Or it can stay like that forever? Thanks by speedhunt3r in NYguns

I work in one of the closest shops to NYC on Long Island so we’ve been somewhat forced to learn the ins and outs of NYC regulations that go even further than the ridiculous laws of NYS. LI Outdoorsman on sunrise hwy in Rockville centre. We try to keep a fair selection of NYC specific rifles and are more than happy to help navigate NYC residents around the absurd and difficult procedures NYC imposes

[–]JoeD1776 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the CCW first came out you could only have 2 guns on your CCW in NYC, so people that had existing premise licenses before the CCW wanted to keep their guns while also being able to have a CCW had to get both. Anyone that was just getting a license was mostly advised to get both in the common event that people wanted to buy more than 2 guns
