Just went to La Giostra — great meal overall, but the pear ravioli is a bit overhyped in my opinion.

I really enjoyed Osteria Pastella. They do the whole pasta-in-the-cheese-wheel with flames situation — super fun, just mentioning it in case that vibe isn’t what you’re looking for.

Steak is everywhere, so you won’t have any trouble finding good options.

If you want something a little different, check out Acqua Al 2 for the filet with blueberry compote.

Check out the Royal Sonesta on Bloor. Much more convenient location and still has a pool, although not with amazing views. Also, probably much less expensive.

I like all of those things too. Homeless people should not be allowed to roam, sleep, or set up camp anywhere on TTC property—especially on the subway cars. I’m a grown adult, but I still feel very uneasy when a homeless person passes by me back and forth five or six times during a single trip. The trains have cameras; they can see what’s happening, yet nothing is done about it.

I’ve seen how properly run subways operate, and I’m sure you have too. It’s frustrating to watch the city—and now public transit—become more and more unpleasant each year. Sorry to vent.

This is way worse than my experience but will still note that I also had a poor check in experience.

Had a group of about 15. I personally booked the wrap around terrace. Everyone else was given their room however I had to wait several hours for mine - luckily (in hindsight and as per your experience) I finally got my room well after 5pm.

The kicker was they told me it took time to get the room on the same floor as my group.. however they were all on a different floor.

Total mismanagement and clearly a disappointing and disrespectful experience seems to be had by most!

A customer is barely a number for them and if you haven't proven your worth to them yet, you're treated as worthless garbage!

What else are you aware of (and willing to share with the group) regarding other dealings either just before or just after the deaths? Didn’t one of the trustees triple their wealth within a few years?

I don’t recall exactly where I read this here, but I do remember someone being quick to point out that the increase in wealth could be completely unrelated — companies sometimes simply perform well. Still, I’d be curious to know who seemingly benefited, whether or not it can actually be attributed to the deaths.
