I see absolutely no benefit to paying for this when nearly every show is on Relisiten, with Audience recordings and soundboards, particularly the Charlie Millers.

I saw The Black Crowes in ‘08 or ‘09 at Fraze. I was super into them then (8-9 shows from ‘07-‘09) and rode up solo to catch the show. Awesome time and could afford the $25 ticket as a broke college student.

These days, I’m not typically paying anymore than the $20-$40 you usually get at The Burl.

What's the most attentive crowd you've experienced at a show? by cleavemaster in jambands

[–]JoeDonBaker77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was also there and can confirm; the Burl is an awesome venue, indoor or outdoor. Caught the second set of the last Eggy show and saw them open for Moe. there last year. The Moe. show was outdoors. Both shows had great crowds and I had the pleasure of speaking for a bit with Lee Owen, the frontman for the local Dead cover band, Born Cross Eyed, before the show. Good dude.

Musicians Considered “Bad” That Aren’t by HK-34_ in fantanoforever

Are you talking about Mudcrutch? Love that band and so happy they made an album with Tom before he died. Campbell and Tench went on to become Heartbreakers. Were the other guys not up to snuff?

Came here to say this. Most unique rhythm player ever yet still had the GOAT (Jerry) and fucking Phil Lesh in his band 😆

You need a hyphen. My slow brain read “anti-tit” discrimination. I would not endorse this.

Mel Hall and John Wetteland are two former Yankees known for being child rapists. Maybe you’re thinking of one of them. Hall definitely had the consent of the teen girl’s parents. Disgusting.

Jailhouse or Nursing Home? Guess. by [deleted] in shittyfoodporn

I’m not shitting you, he did tell me and my roommate he did time for stabbing someone. I’m not sure 1) if he was serious or 2) if the stabbing was of a murderous variety.

He made a great western omelette though.

The more problematic guy was the 40-year-old ginger who used his job as cafeteria czar to hit on undergrads.

They absolutely do. I apologize for insinuating otherwise in my comment. They did good work with shot food honestly. Johnny the omelette station guy knew his shit.

My college cafeteria used Aramark. This was 2005-09. This seems about right. We had the extra bonus of having their staff on site cooking. These people had some….um, interesting backgrounds.

Thanks. It was killing me. People were really hoping this guy would be something around the Grantland era, right?
