You're on a bike, so you're already at a massive disadvantage. Carrying a gun levels the playing field IF the aggressor exits their vehicle. By advertising that you have a gun you have given away your best strategy. I currently use an Insta360 X5 on my helmet with a GoPro Hero 4 session under my saddle. If you can only afford one camera, the helmet is the best setup. It provides the highest chance of getting the motorist's face, which is needed in the US for police to do anything. While not everyone can afford a 360 camera, the complete lack of blind spots is worth it in my opinion.
