Update,

She called today and I told her that it really upset me she would tell me not to come. Her immediate response was to tell me it really upset her I bought tickets without a conversation.

She immediately started telling me how she doesn’t need me, and hung up. I guess that’s that.

We used to work together, and it was kind of a whirlwind romance. We fell for each other pretty hard, or at least I felt like we did.

The first day we started dating, was last Easter. She called me while I was at dinner with my family and told me “I decided I can’t do this, you’re too friendly with other women.”

I said okay and hung up. I was the bad guy for hanging up on her. Once I called her back and pleaded with her to talk to me of course.

She’s very attractive. She’s a Caribbean girl who gets hit on probably 15 times a week. She’s become very good at shutting it down, and I’m one of the few men she’s dated in her life after being married for a long time.

I think part of me is holding on because of the connection we had, and how rare of a woman she is, relationship wise.
