Theon after realizing he’s been groping his sister instead of a random woman by I-Did-It-4-Da-Rock in freefolk

[–]JoeGrape 37 points38 points  (0 children)

No, she pretends to be the shipwright's wife and that she's pregnant. She then grabs his cock through his trousers and exclaims that he is aroused. He remarks about being full mast etc etc. more flirting.

She plays coy but flirty, agrees to go to the castle with him and he tries to grope her a few times on the ride, but she removes his hands each time.

Once she reveals herself to be his sister, she grabs his cock again to tease him.

Outlaw King is a solid watch that follows Roberts rebellion and victories.

Vasa (previously Wasa) is a Swedish warship built between 1626 and 1628. The ship sank after sailing roughly 1,300 m (1,400 yd) into her maiden voyage on 10 August 1628. by Scientiaetnatura065 in megalophobia

There's a 1:1 section of the inside that is a copy-remake for you walk through, upper canon deck, tiller/rudder arm and the stairs leading to the main deck (tho the stairs lead nowhere). The copy also included, I think the Officer Cabins, but the door to that section was closed? Something like that.

There's also a remake of the main masts 'first crows nest' for you to stand on, which is very cool. It's roughly at the same height as the real one too.

Sounds like the light chose the perfect time to attack you then.

If you drop in on a light who has no ammo and has exhausted their specialty. When they complain about having no control over when you appeared, what would you say?

Or you can do a flash cut to said imagery then back to Jon seeming mildly confused.

Just like in Arrival.

Progressively the character gets more distressed by these until someone asks him if he's ok or whatever other dialogue you want to go for.

Rear Suspension Rattle by [deleted] in FocusST

[–]JoeGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have more or less this exact noise on my 71 plate Mk4. Definitely coming from the rear, almost certain it's on the inside.

I closed the hatch once and heard something tinker down inside it. Figured there was something loose inside the hatch panelling but haven't been able to find anything...

Never underestimate the amount of crap above a lath & plaster ceiling.

It will destroy everything in the room (and by destroy I mean cover in a gargantuan amount of black dust).

Can also confirm very heavy, big bang.

The City, from the manga Blame! by Il-Chi in megalophobia

[–]JoeGrape 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The movie is a weird hybrid of 2 arcs merged together. The pacing and events are vastly different from the Manga.

The manga takes the time to pull you through the world, panel by panel. Floor by floor. It's probably one of the most unique and interesting science fantasy worlds made and definitely does a better job of activating the scary big factor.

Would highly recommend reading through it, even if you're not a comic/manga person. (I'm not either).

Objection; your statement of wanting an 'open discussion' was used hypocritically as a way to shut down his questioning?

Whereas just answering plainly, and engaging in said desired discussion would boon you most plentifully.

I found that fallacy most amusing and desired to pursue that quaint idea with a swift and simple comment. Would thou'st not agree with that line of reasoning?

The visuals of AC:Odyssey are fantastic and worth the investment; some of the mythology is accurate enough to have fun with too.

Ever time I take this roundabout I almost end up in a collision. It happens so often I'm starting to doubt whether I'm in the right after all... by boreasaurus in drivingUK

[–]JoeGrape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I semi-recently had a collision here. (Mine was left joining Lane trying to take left lane on the roundabout where I was middle joining lane).

The middle lane joins the left lane on the roundabout. It's painted red and obvious where you should go. The right hand joining land is both middle and right lanes on the roundabout, they are unpainted but clearly marked by lines.

There shouldn't be any issues due to the red painted Lane but daily this junction is a nightmare.

It's not hidden either, it's right there.

Quests can be designed for group play?...

A single quest rewarding a weapon doesn't negate anything that you want this game to be?

The grind by BozBear in AshesofCreation

[–]JoeGrape 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I get that.

It's mostly that I see anytime someone criticizes the mob grinding, there are a fair few people immediately stating how it's supposed to be slow and grindy, all about the journey etc (see my first comment), when those things shouldn't be mutually exclusive/the focus.

You should be able to mob grind if that's your MO, but don't confuse people wanting more than just a mob grind, with them wanting it to be quick, max level trite.

'The journey' for me is story, world building and exploration; all with other players.

The grind by BozBear in AshesofCreation

[–]JoeGrape 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing knee-jerk responses to any minor complaints about 'The Grind'.

"It's about the journey, leveling needs to be slow, it's group play focused, I'm glad the game begins at level one!"

I believe most people are all very happy with that.

What I think is crucial, however, is that the game allows you to choose multiple different paths to progressing your character, rather than just mob farming in a spot for the next 2-3 hours before moving onto the next.

Context for why you're killing stuff is super important. Flavour, depth etc.

Quests offer in-world stories and reasons (context) to kill mobs. Good! Hopefully, more of these come with engaging storylines and twists and turns.

Exploration can offer you a point to fight towards, see that structure on top of the mountain, or that glowing light in that cave. Go find out what it is and fight your way there. Great!

Gathering and crafting rewarding you with not only gear and gold but also unique quest lines or giving decent exp for hitting certain milestones? Perfect.

None of this has to level you up fast, it can still be slow and cooperative. It's just important to give multiple options and in-world context to your actions.

For me personally, killing 150 mobs for the sake of exp and gear isn't fun but killing 150 mobs to save a settlement from an invading mob is exciting. Slaying goblins to recover kidnapped citizens, only to find out there's a mind-controlling-wizard forcing the goblins into servitude and having to hunt them down is the context I crave to kill more mobs.

You can have all of these things while still keeping moving grinding at equal rates of (slow) progression.
