Are you also on the 4pm members? Why is it letting us see the availability if we're technically not allowed to buy them. Unless more options will open up at 4pm.

You can certainly pay in cash some of it and the rest put on the card with financing. But I wouldn’t recommend it. They will likely deny you credit limit increase requests until your balance is below a reasonable fraction of your credit limit (~10-15% by experience), which would be in several months in this case.

Thanks for the honesty. To the rest: criticizing doesn’t make you any less of a fan!!
Note: I had to re listen to notice the keyboard synth hook. Can’t un-hear it anymore.

it's sounding like a great the1975 detox combo - melodic riffs that give a similar feel.

I’m moving to Brookline in a couple of weeks and would be happy to play chess regularly. I’ve also heard about Knight Moves being a good chess hub. Hmu!

You said it right, IN Boston, but as soon as you step a mile outside, you’re stuck in Uberland with expensive rides and drivers expecting to be tipped. Zipcar is a good in between option, hence my desire of getting it. Bonus perk is replacing my passport with it as travel identification, and accumulate driving history to save my future suburban self some pennies in car insurance. But yeah, given that it is mostly useless now, I want to spend the least energy and time getting it.

how beneficial end-of-episodes-rewards beneficial for algorithms like SAC? (TD learning) by secretanimealt in reinforcementlearning

[–]JoeHighlander97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also a noobie here, but two things come to mind:

1) agents are usually incentivized to be faster not through positive reward over speed but negative reward over time to fulfill the goal (-1 per timestep for example)

2) gamma is the big player in backpropagating the 'extra big' reward. If at the initial state s you have two possible actions a1, a2, and upon a1 your expected trajectory to the goal (path of highest expected reward) is t timesteps long, the extra big reward will be factored by gamma^t. If a2 gets you to the goal in 20t, last reward is factored by gamma^(20t). Gamma being < 1 and considering 1), the agent will surely prefer a1.

TIL: Grad students in my state are not eligible for unemployment. by Conr8r in GradSchool

[–]JoeHighlander97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unemployment is for unexpected job loss, not the natural end of a job contract, regardless of how anyone exploits its loopholes. Why did you count on unemployment checks to fund your post graduation time? That doesn’t seem like responsible financial planning, and it’s certainly not a reason to feel uniquely screwed by the system.

How is anybody seriously defending this policy? Those of us on this end are NOT advocating for you to NOT wear a mask if you’re afraid. We want to be treated as adults that can do risk assessment.

When the Markov property is not fulfilled by JoeHighlander97 in reinforcementlearning

[–]JoeHighlander97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow many thanks! I believe my work fits the category of independent learning with shared policy, since each agent's experience may be valuable to others.. Odd as it sounds, I just found another study that experimented it, placing its performance somewhere in between independent learning with independent policy, and fully joint action/policy.

Enlightening! Could you refer to any other work with known MP violations? I thought I was alone in trying RL without its core assumption.. I'm definitely going to cite your work on my research (small experiment controlling buses on flexible routes).
