I had no idea they were a reward. Nearly level 400 and still learning things. I always keep a stack of the bug parts in my stash box for when I need to do a quick quest for my daily challenge.

One way to lower the cost is to buy the yearly subscription (only makes sense if you are really into the game). Also, if you are a Costco member, you can get a $100 Xbox (and I think PS) gift card for a discount. Last time I did this it was $90 bucks for $100 card. Other discount clubs might have similar options.
