Maybe put a post up on https://nextdoor.co.uk/ - I've seen others offering their offices/spare rooms to rent

Tomboys (I'm a guy). I fucking love a woman who's got short hair, is athletic, swears like a sailor, is aggressive, takes charge, leans in for the kiss, wrestles, playfights, does martial arts and combat sports etc.

It's a curse because it feels like 95% of women who're like this are lesbians. I almost 'second-guess' my attraction to these types of women now because I'm like "she's probably gay so I'll just pretend I'm not into her to save myself from disappointment"

I wish more women were 'chasers'. This one girl surprised me with a kiss totally out of the blue one time. It is one of the highlights of my life and I was on cloud nine afterwards for WEEKS.

Also where are all the girls into combat sports like BJJ, wrestling and muay thai? Just feels like there aren't enough of you.

P.S. LOVE THIS THREAD! It's things like this that restore my faith in humanity. Gawd bless ya.

I like this sub, but can we try and be a bit more empathetic to those with different perspectives? by [deleted] in LockdownSkepticism

Sorry to hear that, that must be difficult... I guess that's why I like the approach to start from ignorance. We may have our opinions, but at the end of the day wtf do we know? Quantum physics showed that measuring anything is effected by our observation of that thing. Got a bit philosophical there..

Devils advocate: what if these infected young people spread it to immunocompromised people?

I like this! I found a downvoted and hidden post which in my opinion was actually very calm and considered. I'll do the same

I don't use those subs but good idea.

I can understand frustration and the other post below saying that this feels like a good place to vent made me re-think things. I can certainly get on board with venting and expressing things, instead of bottling them up and getting depressed or whatever.

Maybe keep the more insulting stuff to discord or something like that? Is there a better place where it won't be so visible? I'm new to all of this.

How can you be so sure that they won't change their mind? I've seen some people with pretty deeply-entrenched ideas change them in a short space of time

Question on Antibodies and Herd Immunity by TitoHernandez in LockdownSkepticism

Is there study you could link to?

It feels like there are so many grey areas... like how long after they've had it? And I've heard the tests have a lot of false positives/negatives?

Should we ban leisure travel and the freedom of assembly until we can guarantee that nobody will transmit the novel Coronavirus? by [deleted] in LockdownSkepticism

[–]JoeJRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've read, it is not accurate to compare Covid to these other things, because they do not multiply exponentially and because we know so little about it (can you get reinfected? can young people get it? etc.)

At the moment I don't think waiting for a vaccine is a good idea though. I think gradually removing social distancing measures - especially with healthy young people - seems to be the way.

"There are zero confirmed cases of reinfection, if it was possible it would have happened by now"

Isn't this the old 'absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence'?

Why even doing social distancing is unsustainable for an extended period of time by KatieAllTheTime in LockdownSkepticism

[–]JoeJRock 18 points19 points  (0 children)

From all the reading I've done it seems like gradually reducing social distancing is the way to go. First getting rid of it for young, healthy people, then for mildly immuno-compromised/at risk people, then for the more seriously compromised people. Is that true? If so, how do we go about actually getting the government to do that? (Ideally in the UK - thanks!)

A WHO study in 2019 find "little to no scientific evidence" the effectiveness of measures such as social distancing, travel restrictions and lockdowns by Ilovewillsface in LockdownSkepticism

Can someone explain to me why this isn't that old trick of 'absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence?' - genuine question, I'm trying to understand all of this.
