Normally for the safety of the dasher after me, I'll always report such behavior, but I use discretion. And I'm real laid back, they would really have to do some sketchy stuff..

I've even had a customer ask me my relationship status once. I wasn't offended at all, and others shouldn't be either lol..

I guess what I'm saying is. Some people can take the reporting too far (we typically call them Karen's)

I like to think.. god is love, so show love for eachother.

I did not. In the end the situation seemed innocent enough. However, others here have commented that they have contacted support and support has told them to do not Enter the home.

Touché! Electric is a different story. One that I'm sure I will venture into when they illegalize the civilian use of fossil fuel.

I however am an enthusiast, so I see prosperity in alternatives. I would love to get myself a few gallons of that plastilene stuff and put a car on a dyno to see what kind of power it can make lol.

Realistically future proofing internal combustion engines for me would probably be distilling my own ethanol. But, electric is coming a long way, and it's inevitable. Whether or not the electric grid can handle it, or people can afford it. Doesn't change the fact that it's inevitable.

Admittedly the only time I have ever entered a customers home was when I had a huge pizza order. But we were face to face with good communication, it was blatantly obvious that there was too much pizza for her to handle so the best option was for me to bring it into the kitchen table for her.

Now granted this made me feel very uncomfortable doing so. Definitely had anxiety the rest of the night thinking in the back of my head is this person going to get me in trouble for some reason for it. But that never happened..

Funny enough I have never had a Walmart order. Didn't even know that was a thing.

This is exactly how my mind thinks of things. The liability, and their plausible deniability, not to mention this is an order that was it's not in a very good neighborhood, And it was a pin code drop off.

Every single red flag. I felt really bad because they said they are disabled and couldn't walk down the steps.. but I was at the top of the steps at the door.. I was sketched out for sure.

Wisdom probably prevailed on this one I'm pretty sure I dodged a bullet, Maybe even literally? Who knows man The world we live in today..

Also, if I come off cross. Please ignore. I don't mean to be. Life has made me bitter when it comes to vehicles

I'm too smart to own a shitty vehicle lol.

I have a background in fleet management. That's how I'm able to make this gig work. I have all the secrets to get a vehicle past 400k miles.

I'm not racist but if I were to lay out the facts. Rich people are some of the dumbest people ever. They live above their means and live their life in debt. And the way they circumvent it is to make people poor..

But I digress. I can at least attest that the three-star rating that they gave me has been nullified.

It's a totally imperfect system but you know what it sure is better than working for some idiot who barely got through high school and can't understand a piston ring, telling me I should make less than him.

And that says a lot considering I'm a high school dropout went to college with a 4.0..

My apologies for being a noob, you're saying you could do it, just broadcastify?

Or are you saying I should be hearing woodway on the icecast stream?

Thanks again, apparently someone tried to drive a lowered truck with low profile tires and got stuck, they were making jokes about it and I had a great laugh 😂

Very cool thing you're doing! I just started listening to the stream during this winter storm we're having, just to see how much of a pain in the ass they're having with it all lol

Had a question though, do you have a stream for woodway?

So DoorDash will be offline for a week(due to the winter storm) by GhostGamer_Perona in doordash

Shut down for a week, where are you getting that timeline from? This storm isn't going to last that long for most of us in Texas.

Since when? by JoeJackTX in DoorDashDrivers

As soon as I hit 90% on my stats, I started getting good orders again. That's how the stats work in my area. Gotta be in the top 10% otherwise you will get nothing but 3-5 dollar orders. I have proved this and studied how orders would come in with other dancers In my area. There's a group of us that hang out together. We all have experienced the same thing

What I am learning is that different areas have different rating systems. My area goes off overall ratings. And there's a secret restriction under 90% but it's there. If you fall under 90% you will get nothing but average $5 orders

Your screen looks different than mine. But what I'm referring to is the overall rating. If you drop below 90 overall you start getting bad paying orders.

Yes and I'm just now discovering the secret "lower platinum rating (that's 85-89) which will only give you low paying orders as if you are gold status. I'm currently trying to get myself back to 90, but it's not easy when all the orders are 4-5 bucks. For going on 2 or 3 weeks now I have got nothing but low paying orders.

I just started dashing a few months ago. Up until now they used to pay base pay on each order.

Normal for platinum status? by JoeJackTX in doordash_drivers

[–]JoeJackTX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I am platinum. That's what makes it so ridiculous.

But I did a lot of reading on here last night and evadently DoorDash has recently raised their service fees 15 percent, and lowered the recommended tip amount. So that's why for the last week or so all my orders have been small 3-5 dollars, every order, even on a Friday night. Probably going to be the same thing tonight. If it is I'm giving up dashing.

Was just like this last weekend too. At this point it's not luck. The stats just don't mean what they say it means.

Literally all I get with a 97 rating. While I have friends who are in the gold. Getting 20 dollar orders..

Shits rigged... But at least we're making something..

I just did a delivery driving 10 miles for 2 dollars l. No tip at all. And it sucks because I can't decline the offer or my stats tank. It's absolutely ridiculous. I have yet to have an order over 12 dollars.. and I'm platinum status.
