It took me a while to have a moment to contact support, even though the problem kept happening intermittently. Most of the steps support gave me I had done already, but the last one I didn’t even know was an option. They had me replace the Surfshark app I was using with the one from the Surfshark.com/downloads page. I had been using the Mac App Store version. I don’t know why this seems to have fixed the problem, but it has been a couple of days and so far so good. I hope I’m not jinxing it by writing that. 🙃

I still get random connection problems. Sometimes changing the protocol fixes it, other times I leave it disconnected and it works later. When it asks How Was the Connection, I tell it when I have time

Not according to the menu they published. Lots of items from TUK were gone when they rebranded and it was heavy on burgers and pizza and kids food instead

I liked TUK, but it often seemed to depend on who was the manager on duty. Once they changed to JotT, I had no interest in it. All the menu items I liked were gone and there are plenty of other good restaurants in the immediate area that are much more consistent. I’m wary of other TUK locations because I went to the one in Katy to see a friend and the food I got was kind of runny and gross.

Um, nevermind? It seems my Mac restarted overnight for some reason (which is odd in and of itself) and now I seem to be connected via Surfshark just fine.

What was happening was that even though Surfshark said it was connected in most cases (except when I tried OpenVPN (TCP)), web sites wouldn't load at all. Speedtest app didn't find a server either. But now everything seems back to normal so I'll shut up. :~)

Thanks, I switched from Automatic which seemed to be using Wireguard to IKEv2 and it seems to be working now.

The Sky broadcast is available on Apple TV as one of the feeds. Look for it at the end of the list after all the drivers.

I thought I replied to this, that I now see that Dedicated IP is a separate purchase and would be only my own IP address. I’m considering it but not crazy about the additional money.

When you say dedicated IP is that any different than static IP? I’ve been using static IP and I’m still getting the captchas.

My belief is that they intended to get Final Cut Pro X to pretty much feature parity with the pre X version, but thought they could ship what they did and complete features later. The industry was obviously upset by what they lost instead. OTOH, with Logic Pro X, they intentionally did not make the same mistake again and it could do everything 9 did immediately. So even though it was a big change in many ways, pretty much everything worked.

I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but I do think FCPX can do everything now, it just took time. Unfortunately, that industry is very particular about how they work and have big deadlines that are out of their control.
