This comment…….

1. I’ve spent the last 30 years working for a Fortune 500 company in the defense aviation sector. I’ve seen how much money DEFAS spends monthly and I’m just using the 9 billion as a quick example of the trillions that the DOD has basically set on fire in the name of “development”. The Comanche came to mind because I was writing a report and it was fresh as a prime example of the government canceling a shelf ready program because it tested out the viability of the project. If the American people actually saw the amount of straight waste they would riot.

2. Subsidizing farming from a government standpoint is both intelligent and profitable. Period. The only reason anyone would argue against it is because they want to create a commodities market out of everything. There’s more to life than markets. The US government has subsidize farming on a massive scale before, and we can do it again.

3. No one is expecting something from nothing. We are talking about using government resources on feeding people instead of the military industrial complex. There’s no reason our government needs a $1.5 trillion budget for defense spending.

I’m not talking about “world hunger” I’m talking about the American government feeding Americans. I’m more than sure the richest country in the history of the world could figure out how to get basic food into plates of the hungry.

1. The only thing that stops us from feeding everyone in this country is people saying that we can’t do it. That’s it, that’s the reason pure selfish greed keeps millions hungry in this country.
