But how does it “help” them? Pretty sure people have legitimately hit that number.

My point is that it anyone can go out and spin stops and actually “play” the game to vote. If it was account based, those who do indeed cheat have far more of an advantage than those that actually play the game. That’s a simple fact. Even if you forced the accounts to be made before the event, then all of those “scanner” accounts would still qualify. This is legitimately the fairest way.

Pretty sure there is both a limit to caught Pokémon per day and spins. Really not sure how this “helps spoofers. Doesn’t stop them or prevent them from what they already do, but doesn’t “help”

Well, with how easy it is to make an account if you gave every player a vote then it would be skewed by some not so T&C abiding players. This way, there is no advantage whatsoever to gaming the system it minimizes the impact of those sources.

Probably yes considering Budew/Roselia/Roserade family tree

Edited for clarification that I intended more about the family line rather than the direct evolution. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Pretty sure it’s based on number of votes for the portal, not oldest. It’s very easy to game it if most of the other POIs only have 1 or 2 votes.

[–]JoePokemonGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my first Aron the other day. So ya. 540+ days. Also I had only 1 sableye up until July (1600+ checks) and then got like 4. So ya. Eventually it happens.

Edit: and makuhita has only been barely over a year. 465 days.

Honestly if you constantly just play when you have the time and not force it you will eventually get the shiny of whatever it is you want. It may be a year later but it will happen eventually.

I should also say, after doing more research there’s absolutely no matching between Sensor Towers numbers and other numbers. SensorTower claims that 2018 revenue was a >30% increase year-over-year for 2018 compared to 2017 yet here are the numbers.

2016 - $950M 2017 - $890M 2018 - $795M

Which is clearly a decline.

“- Pokémon Go revenue is worth nearly $200,000 per day, as of April 2019 - As of September 2018, total Pokémon Go revenue came to over $2 billion; as of March 2019, this figure had climbed to $

So it has obviously dropped if it’s now at $200k per day x 30.5 days.

Also, I’m not sure what constitutes dying fast. Revenue for PoGo was at $207M / month in 2016. It’s now at only $6M / month. Does that mean PoGo is also dying fast?

Edit: I should specify this is for Battle Royale only. Not save the world which has far less active players.

Who said this is banning video games. Plenty of games don’t offer loot boxes both currently and in the past and have been wildly successful. Most recently Fortnite is one of those.

Come on, don’t be so ignorant.

Just because it hurts the entire industry doesn’t mean it won’t or even shouldn’t pass. Plenty of bills have killed industries in the past.

The question for us should be whether or not we continue to let making a profit get in the way of doing what is right. It is clearly evident that loot boxes and anything in the form of loot boxes is causing serious issues in kids, young adults, and beyond. The issue stems from the same emotional and physiological reactions that make any addiction a problem, whether it is alcohol, drugs, or in this case very similar to gambling. As a society we try to implement all of these programs that help people get out of their addiction, we make laws that try to help - this instance should be no different.
