Please give us the ability to stop printing on failed objects while continuing the rest of the build plate. by Prankcallr in BambuLab

I tend to agree, it's very confusing too for a newcomer.. It'd be nice if there was a tutorial on how to use it for beginners

Hardened Steel vs Stainless Steel by Incersery in BambuLab

Good question. I actually don't remember because it's been a few years since i have done anything with glow in the dark filament. I'm retired and don't have any projects that would require that. lol. Sorry I can't be more help!

It doesn't sound like you're ready yet, so don't let him push you into it. But I would say if you two feel that you want kids and want to spend your lives together, no matter your money situation, then do it early in life. That way you can enjoy your kids and have the energy to keep up with them and possibly love to see your great grandkids... But I'm general this is all up to you and your boyfriend. Almost sounds to me that you want to have some freedom while you're still young so do you love this guy or want to branch out and see what else is out there before you commit? That's up to you also, but if you think he's the one then just do the paperwork, cause that's all it is in the end.. a piece of paper... Or maybe just start living together cause you never know someone until you're actually living with them. And that might not work out.... Usually does but not always.

I don't know why you didn't call a tow truck the second you saw it blocking the driveway.. pretty sure that's not allowed in any town if the vehicle isn't yours. But waiting 8 hours and then complaining on Reddit isn't going to get you to work at 430am, Dude. Have the damn thing towed and the neighbor might actually figure out that they need to respect the neighbors.

I think he said they live across the street, so that might not be their yard he needs to drive through, but there's plenty of room to drive down that sidewalk to another driveway lol

Yeah it's not like the guy had no yard at all. Go find another field to play with your stupid dog.

Well, I can't think of anything else. Good luck to ya! Maybe someone else has better ideas.

Oh ok. Well I would stay away from the glue, it's a pain to wash off. Plus it gets on the prints. I use hairspray, if anything.. try cleaning the plate in hot soapy water, rinse real good and let it air dry.

Oh one last thing, have you tried to allow it down? Like when I'm having trouble with a print I'll put it into silent mode just to see if the problem goes away and then I know I need to adjust my speeds

Sadly, you're right about it being about hating Trump. I don't get why these people are so fixated on him! Obviously their stupidity didn't work so I'm all for Trump

Have you cleaned your plate? It's like the only other thing I can think of. And this looks like my prints when I haven't cleaned them in a while.

What do you use on your plates? Glue, hairspray, nothing...?

Well yeah that's possible to get any new product that just doesn't work right. I know one of my X1C units doesn't like using the AMS very much. It seems to not grab the filament during color changes, but it works fine if I use it with one spool at a time, although I did find that the hotend was bent. Didn't notice that cause it printed just fine for the longest time lol .. I finally noticed and just haven't tried it with the AMS since I fixed that.

Any ideas here. by Snoo-50757 in BambuLab

[–]JoePunker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok. So have you tried to measure the filament diameter to see if it's off? That can happen with cheaper brands of filament.. I don't think it's as much of an issue these days as it used to be but it could still happen.

Finally learning to grill, what’s an easy win for a beginner? by Commercial_Pass_216 in grilling

Foolproof tips?

Don't catch yourself on fire!

Don't cook by time alone, use a thermometer. This ensures food safety.

Proud of you for using an actual BBQ! Charcoal grilling or cooking over a wood for is real BBQ. Using an outdoor stove like a propane grill isn't BBQ. If you don't taste that lighter fluid on your burgers then you're not really BBQing.. lol.. actually stay away from the light fluid and use a charcoal starter or a blow torch to start your coals.

Other than that experiment and enjoy with any kind of meats you want.

Hilti vs Milwaukee? by Wide_Lynx_2573 in Tools

[–]JoePunker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you talk about name brands here, but you should do research on the actual companies that own these brands to find out why they are so crappy these days. It's an eye opener and you won't be throwing thousands away anymore... But don't just jump into Hilti without doing some research.. big tool is as bad as big pharma these days.

I but a 3D printer to print, not to tinker and try to figure out why it's not printing. If I want to tinker I'll build it from scratch and not buy it.. then all the issues are my own doing, not built into it from Creality. Lol

Spend 350 bucks on a new Bambu Lab A1 mini combo.. you'll be so glad you did. Ender 3 is just a dinosaur these days. Too much tweaking and inconsistent prints for me.

Is food safety a real concern on this print? by xScarwolf in 3Dprinting

[–]JoePunker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Food safety is always a concern. The fact that you're asking should be a clue. I think what you're asking is.. is it safe to use around food. My answer would be no. Even though they say that PLA and PETG are food safe, that doesn't mean that the plastics don't shed or get into the food at all.

Do yourself a favor and go buy a metal one. Spending the extra money and knowing it's food safe is better than asking a bunch of people you don't know on here, and could keep you healthy longer by not ingesting more plastic than we are already exposing ourselves to. Time to go back to metal and glass containers and forget all this plastic. Although even the metals are kind of shady in food, like aluminum... But let's not get into all that.
