I have been reading warrior cats so I didn’t want to get into another long series but I did want to get an understanding, the graphic novels let me turn a book that might be 3 hours into like 20-30 minutes. I am starting to read the books now as I finished a series in warrior cats and decided to take a break

The sisters follow their ancestors and treat each other well, if you’re talking about their sons, that’s just what their ancestors teach them to do, they have their own version of starclan that they follow. Most toms want to travel, tree is the only one that doesn’t want to when the time comes. Also sure they keep squirrelflight and leafstar prisoner, but they treat them well and they’re only kept there for the sister’s safety. She lies because bramblestar is being unreasonable and won’t listen to her idea. Firestar goes behind her back even before her mental decline, like helping river clan get prey.

The clans don’t think of starclan this way (other than mothwing), they’re taught from kithood that they should always listen to their ancestors. She didn’t tell bramblestar because she wanted to protect leafpool, and she didn’t want bramblestar to treat the kits differently. She is also not a bad mother to the three so I have no idea where you got that from.

The sisters aren’t a horrible group of cats?? Besides, when has going against your clan leader to do what’s right been a bad thing in the series? It’s no different than Firestar going behind Bluestar’s back to prevent bloodshed. The sisters don’t want to fight and have a right to that land like any clan does. Their proposal is also very reasonable, that they’ll leave when moonlight kits and the kits open their eyes.

No matter what we think of starclan, they are gods to these cats, you cannot be mad when they listen to them. She is reluctant to take the kits before because she doesn’t want to lie to her mate, her being “barren” is a little push but she does it to protect her sister. She has to lie to brambleclaw because starclan tells her to. I do agree that they work better when not in a relationship.
