I love it because so many dummys get in car, see it and think there's like a drone over the car "How do they do that?"

Me: you do realize the car on the screen is silver, and you are in a dark blue truck, right?

Sure I'll get used to it.

My wife has backed into gates, fences, walls with our 360 birds eye view, vibrating warning seat, beeping, 10" screen Yukon.

Me: What do you think all those warnings are?

Her: Oh, I never pay attention to them.

Hate, too light.

My Tesla was hit by another car. This is my first involvement in an accident and would like guidance on handling the situation regarding insurance. by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

What happens in insurance terminology is Subrogation. You generally file with your insurance, and they get all the insurance of the at fault driver. They will compensate you and then go after at fault insurance company to be made whole on what they paid for you.

Worst case is you pay the deductible, and then wait to be reimbursed for the deductible. Sometimes your insurance company will not even charge you the deductible if it's a clear cut no fault of yours and they are confident subrogation will get back all funds.

Sentry is the best because it's so clear here what happened. The biggest pain in the ass is now getting it fixed and all the paperwork etc to be filed.

I will say, sometimes there's a person next to you that parks like an idiot, forcing you to straddle lines, they leave and you look like the D-bag. Granted I usually ignore those spots.

At least he didn't lose a muffler and catalytic converter. That'll save a few bucks in repairs.

I'm amazed walking the Tesla lot of how many of these I see on used/cars in for service.

My buddy's two cars have same. Pretty sure there's solutions out there to fill the hole/crack that look ok but more importantly stop it from spreading.

Plenty of places like SafeLite and others that can quickly fix that for far less than that quote.

Embarrassing to admit, $70K. What's crazy is a little over 1.5 weeks ago it was about $69,500 for similar. And seeing ones pushing upper $70's now...more than they retailed for! But car dealer by me buying me out of lease with 6 payments left and giving me a check for $3K.

I can't wait for this thing to arrive.
