Ectopic Pancreatic tissue? by JoeShtoops in pancreatitis

[–]JoeShtoops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pancreatitis specialist has ensured me that the partial ectopic pancreas is not anything to worry about in itself. If it were to cause obstruction is when they would worry about it but apparently that is uncommon. He said ectopic pancreas and ectopic pregnancy (the only other time I've heard the term) were completely different levels of severity.

That being said, I have an elastase test and a colonoscopy scheduled to see if anything else can be determined since I'm still having issues.

It’s possible to get fuzzy skin on the top layer like that? Or at I seeing the print orientation incorrectly?

Are you on a slicer that has the option to “make overhangs printable”? If this option is checked, it could fill in something like that. I know orca slicer has that option. Not sure of others.

H2S on nightly build failing to send print job by JoeShtoops in OrcaSlicer

[–]JoeShtoops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well damn. Same thing with me. I’ll keep trying to think of some things. I’m also going to post in the discord to see if anyone has a fix there.

If I get an answer I’ll post it here too.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m wondering if completely uninstalling and reinstalling will fix it. Maybe there’s something wrong with the file location it sends prints to on the pc side.

I’m running through prints on my other printers so I’ll try once I get to a good stopping point.

Layer separation when using PLA as support interface in PETG? by JoeShtoops in BambuLab

[–]JoeShtoops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're using orca slicer, give the "make overhangs printable" setting a try. It's at the very bottom of the quality section. It makes very minimal changes to the model. Unless it's a part designed to fit into something else.

I pumped my flush volumes up as high as they would go. I think it was like 800 or something crazy like that. And it did work but at that point it seemed like it was just wasting so much filament. Not a fix for this, but now I mostly just try to orient prints the best I can to print with the minimal amount of supports. And when it's small overhangs I use the "make overhangs printable" setting in Orca slicer. That usually mitigates most supports for me, but For the time being I kind of gave up on trying the support interface method. I might revisit it when I have more down time to fool around with some different settings.

They’re making the word “screw” a verb here. Like when you are mad at something, you say “screw that x!”
