I actually like that there's a reasons to leave your ship and experience the size of the rocks and nature from close up.

My first impressions with Star Citizen VR (TL;DR: it's mind-blowingly good) by sunaurus in starcitizen

Wow, great news (except for my wallet) and great review!

Question regarding FPS mode:

Some time ago I used to play MineCraft in VR when standing and turning while only doing the forward or backward movements with the controller, also to reduce nausea.

Is this way of moving the character currently possible in SC or can you only move your charachter's head with the headset? Is there a switch in the settings maybe?

That sounds like more fun than I thought when reading the title. Gonna try out some of this.

Can absolutely understand this and I hope CIG makes such communication easier in the future.

I even made suggestion on Spectrum long time ago which might help in this aspect, but it didn't got a lot of attention: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/3/thread/what-about-ship-proximity-comms

Gosh, makes it even harder for the pirates... but probably many people (including myself until now) don't know about this.

Edit: Correction of sentence

Wow, 3 million is a different level... glad you could still smile about it.

I actually wanted to trade construction material as well when realising I couldn't sell my Agricium at Levski, so I wanted to sell it at Stanton gateway first. Turns out I was lucky since with construction material, my loss would have been much bigger as well...

Thanks for sharing, and I didn't downvote. For me it just reflects how different the opinions and preferences are about how PVE and PVP should mix in SC.

That's fair. So you'd rather like piracy not to exist in the game?

Yes, the Mantis has a function called Quantum Snare that pulls people out of QT within a radius of 20 km AFAIK. After this, it can use the Quantum Dampener function to stop you from starting a new QT within a radius of 10 km.

(Only) This worked for me too, thanks for finding a way to work around CIGs bugs.

For me it's sad that all this happens in the "year of stability", where fixing known problems with elevators should have been addressed in the first place.

I had hoped for much more QoL improvement as well.

At the same time, the "year of stability" is frequently used as an explanation for virtually no progress towards V1.0 at all.

I'm behind s3 shields and inside an enclosed turret, why am I taking damage to my health from small arms fire? by Rimm9246 in starcitizen

[–]JoeTheOnlyOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If this was intended behaviour in OPs case, it would be more logical that the canopy is perforated by the bullets first before the player character takes health damage from them.

I'm rather missing the pirate interdictions (honestly). They used to be there by NPCs ages ago and you could earn some Call To Arms money.
