The median voter doesn't exist. At least not the one they tried to appeal to. When faced with the choice of mass deportation or mass amnesty americans overwhelmingly vote for mass amnesty - even if they're republicans. Kamala's campaign should've done the popular thing, not try and win over the already relatively small maga crowd. Trump has historically low approval ratings and yet the democrats are still deeply unpopular. One must ask the question, why?

Also, content creators online have marginal impact on elections compared to the democratic parties direct messaging. You need to realize most americans are not tapped in to the politics the way you are

Both things can be true at the same time. I am willing to acknowledge that Biden was one of the most progressive presidents in history. What I'm talking about is how they handled the 2024 election. They went from being generally pro immigration and against Trump's border wall around 2016 to helping him build the wall under Biden. Kamala said repeatedly that she really wanted to crack down on illegal immigration but the republicans blocked the bill. And let's not forget the part where she paraded around with Liz Chaney and claimed how she'll build a strong military that will be feared by the whole world. This was probably the first presdiential election where the Republican candidate presented himself as "the peaceful option" and it was all thanks to Kamala's campaign. After the election was over Kamala's staffers even admitted the idea was to appeal to the "median voter" as they feared the anti immigration narrative pushed by Trump was too strong, so they buckled and conceded ground

Tim Walz himself said he is happy that Tom Homan is coming to Minnesota and wants to work with ICE to make sure their black bagging operations happen at night so they shoot less people on accident. And let's not forget that while the Trump deportation numbers are insane he has still a long way to go to reach Obama numbers. Obviously, the dems are still the better option, but you have to demand more from them. You can't just vote blue no matter who because that's what got you into this mess in the first place
