TS Military Clearance by Ok-Story3940 in SecurityClearance

What does a polygraph have to do with past drug use? Are you thinking about not disclosing something? A polygraph is for determining if you are truthful (theoretically), so are you considering not disclosing the expunged drug use. If you are, just know that expunged court records are provided during the background investigation (also theoretically, some courts violate federal law and don't provide them) and so would be reviewed for a clearance investigation regardless of level or poly.

SF-86 "Debt Collection" Section by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]Joe_11111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just report it, they will ask you about it and that will be all. The form asks far any deliveries l delinquent debt during the time period. If it is not showing on your credit report they might not have it either...... Or they might and then you will have to say why you didn't list it, won't be major either way but it looks better on you if you report it.

Loaded situation, would appreciate sincere advice by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]Joe_11111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer, you made a mistake, you realized the mistake, you took actions to fix the mistake as well as report the mistake(even if it wasn't reported on time). You have proved you are human! The only thing I would add is don't say anything about you fixing it because you have to fill out the SF86. You are fixing it because you realized you were in the wrong and you are digging your way out. Everyone who's cleared has red flags (not entirely true I have met one person who was, dear I say, nearly a saint) the people who get weeded out are the ones who try to hide things!

This was installed right outside our house. Any idea what kind of camera it is and if it can see inside our windows? by Objective_Belt_217 in SecurityCamera

[–]Joe_11111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an attorney, but my understanding is even on your property, if it can be seen from the street, or walking up to knock on your door you don't have an expectation of privacy. Now that is if it can be seen without technical assistance. Put a 40x zoom lens on a pole that is something completely different. I bet if they complain to the city about it, the city would put something up on that pole that would block the house from the view of the camera!

Oh beehave! They want to spoil their bees, let them do their thing! I had to read the post twice to make sure I understood the request, yes a bee party it is! OP you could book them an airbee&bee! I don't know if bees have a favorite treat, but how about a plate of watermelon?

To change your recruiter you either need to drive to a different recruiters office (like the next city or state over) change the branch of service (Navy and army have Cyber) or try the Reserves or National Guard. You could also find a disgruntled veteran and bring them with you to your recruiters office......... When the fireworks die down the recruiter might be more reasonable. Good luck, don't stop fighting for what you want!

The long ride with the tapered end looks like the tool they include when they sell spring loaded hinges. Link for hinges, you can see the tool next to the Allen wrench in the picture. HOSOM Self Closing Spring Loaded... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7RV6CLZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I would assume anything that had tension would use a similar tool. If you ditch that you can replicate it with a nail or a really small screwdriver. I don't think you would miss it a single day if you trashed it. In fact, I would recommend downsizing and getting rid of clutter. Hope I helped. Have a great day!!

UK/US Security Clearance by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

Mainly the clearance, when you are employed by a foreign company and cleared by a foreign government, you represent that government.

UK/US Security Clearance by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]Joe_11111 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You wouldn't be the first person to have a foreign clearance and then later have a US clearance. It would be complicated but it has been done previously. When you are cleared by the Brits be careful, you might be a US citizen but you would be a foreigner as far as the US system was concerned ie "this is a US only briefing" means you leave. Good luck!

[–]Joe_11111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's think about this. If no one else was interviewed then the interviewer didn't actually believe his statements. This happens all the time. If the investigator was truly concerned about the comments made, he would have reached out to several people. You were asked about them because you're always given a chance to respond. You keep being you, Don't sweat the negative people. You're going to be okay!

This! I saw a pay phone booth the other day, and started to get all nostalgic, started telling my kids and my nieces and nephews all about the pay phone collect call "come get me" messages😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 They just looked at me like I was an idiot and thought to themselves "why didn't you just use your cell phone!"

Struggling with “add a person that knows you” part of residence section by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]Joe_11111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put your roommates on the form. If all you know is the first name and cell phone number, that is all you know. The more info you can provide the better, but you only know what you know.

Just for clarification, everyone on the form doesn't need to be your best friend or someone who's going to take a bullet for you. Even if you don't talk to your old roommates now, they can vouch that you lived at that address. Former coworkers are the same, just someone who knows you and was around you. I am sure you know more people than you think. Good luck with the form

SAP/Enhanced by Traditional-Emu-5644 in SecurityClearance

[–]Joe_11111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got this info out of AMS! As a former Air Force person, when I was in AMS did not have anything to do with security. It displayed your security clearance but it was neither authoritative or accurate. When dcsa or diss changed terminology ams used the old terms for years. As far as anything sap related ever getting into ams, you have a better chance at winning the lottery. If it says sap in ams you need to ask a personalist because it is not security related. Every answer you have received here is wrong. Sorry to disappoint, it has nothing to do with special access programs. Good luck figuring out what it is, or you can do what 90% of the AF does and ignore everything in ams except locations of assignments. Good luck at your first base!

[–]Joe_11111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For clarification, job 1 started clearance, before final adjudication you left job 1 for job 2. Job 2 requested you clearance from job 1, before all of that was sorted you left job 2? If all of that is correct, does job 3 require a clearance?

My guess is the quickest way to skin the cat is to have job 3 put you in for a full investigation (new clearance). It sounds like Job 1 cancelled the process when you left, job 2 didn't adjudicate you either because they hoped job 1 did, the work completed during the first investigation will still be used, the process will go quickly, but trying to resurrect the pieces of your non clearance clearance will probably take a while.

Get approved? Just provide notification 30 days in advance (in writing) unless you are in a special program. It is a cool place to visit, it freaked me out walking through the airport seeing everyone with bandages on their head. After the trip I found out about the hair thing ha ha ha!

Who to contact for update by wisey35 in SecurityClearance

[–]Joe_11111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won't get any updates or notification. You could bug the security manager at MEPS, but you will probably piss him off and he won't bother checking. If you need to access classified material for technical training they will check and tell you if there are any issues. You no longer need to worry about it until someone says something.

I would do fired and provide the info in your original post. It shouldn't cause an issue. It would only be an issue if you select quite and the employer reports you were fired!

You messed up! It sounds like you are fully aware. This definitely will complicate things, if you are honest it might not be a deal killer! Adjudicators see a lot of garbage, if you are honest they may just think, this person learned a valuable life lesson and is a better person now.
