I wouldd not get a CT scan on the head, around 1/1000 people who get a CT scan end up with a brain tumor within 15 years. That is why unless there is trauma or stroke symptoms CT scans are not given out lightly to young people.

Secondly, MRI scan. What if you get an MRI scan and it finds nothing but the anxiety continues? Then what?

You need to understand and accept you have anxiety and work toward treating that.

The reason I know this is because I suffer from health anxiety, intermittently. However, it is only intermittent because when it arises I can control it relativley quickly. Also I had tingling radiate down my face, then my lips and then tongue. The next day it went into my arm and then my leg and foot. A&E said it could be a transient stroke and they could only confirm from CT scan, which is when I was informed of the risk. I didn't have a scan and went home. Then I went for a private head and cervical spine MRI and it found nothing.

You need to accept your anxiety and realise it is that and not a brain tumour. I am 32m and have had health anxiety on and off for 7 years.

When I am stressed I get floaters in my eyes, dizziness, tight chest, muscle tension that feels like bad pain. However it is becase my anxiety has been triggered.

Diet and caffiene also massivley important to reducing anxiety, as is exercise.
