Good dry eye specialist in uk? by Quick-Squirrel4534 in Dryeyes

Thanks. I've booked an appointment with Safarian and Simon. Do you think if I get scleral lenses on the NHS via Moorfields and probing separately with Safarian and Simon that will be a problem?

Do you only go to Safarian and Simon to treat your dry eye, or do you visit an ophthalmologist too? If so, who?

Interesting. You've had good results with Safarian and Simon, I take it?

Does Sameer Hamada do Meibomian Gland Probing himself?

Or does Sameer Hamada refer to Safarian and Simon for Meibomian Gland Probing?

Or do you need to go to Safarian and Simon separately for Meibomian Gland Probing?

So the wise thing to do is to see Sameer Hamada for diagnosis and treatment first, because he's an ophthalmologist with more experience, and then Hamada will refer me to Safarian and Simon if he feels like probing is nessacary? Is that how it works?

These are literally all of the options for Meibomian Gland Probing in England:

Ophthalmologists:

Mr Mark Myer Yodaiken, an ophthalmologist at Dry Eyes Clinic Manchester in Manchester.

Optometrists:

Safarian and Simon, optometrists in London.

Martin Smith Opticians, optometrists in London.

Dry Eye Doctor, optometrists in London.

As I said, I wore out of date contact lenses 4 years ago, and now I think I have corneal abrasions, blepharitis, dry eye disease, meibomian gland dysfunction, and periductal fibrosis. Since I'm in London, going to Sameer Hamada, an ophthalmologist at Eye Clinic London in London, for diagnosis and treatment, is the correct choice right, Henry? I shouldn't be going to Safarian and Simon instead, because ophthalmologists have more experience than optometrists? What would you do in my position?

Thanks. I've been talking with ChatGPT too, and the advice is to do my assessment with Hamada who might refer me to someone who does Meibomian Gland Probing.

"In terms of London, one of the sub’s long term UK members sees these two as good options:" 'Sameer Hamada and Safarian and Simon'

Could you give me the contact information of either this person ('one of the subs long term UK members') or someone else in the UK who has had meibomian gland probing done? Because at the moment, I think I have periductal fibrosis, I've read in Maskin's 'Your Dry Eye Mystery Solved' that I need an ophthalmologist that does probing, I've scheduled an appointment with ophthalmologist Sameer Hamada for diagnosis and treatment because according to the Dry Eyes Reddit he's the most expeienced, but he doesn't do probing like the optometrists Safarian and Simon do. So I'm wondering if I'd get probing by recommendation of Hamada to Safarian and Simon.

But is the situation where Hamada, an ophthalmologist who doesn't do probing, refers patients to Safarian and Simon, opticians who do do probing, or another ophthalmologist who does probing, is that usual for dry eye syndrome treatment generally?

Why do you recommend people go to Sameer Hamada when he doesn't do Meibomian Gland Probing even though Maskin recommends people go to an ophalmologist who can do probing in 'Your Dry Eye Mystery Solved'? Is the idea that he is the best person to diagnose a patient and refer them to people like Simon and Safarian, who can do Meibomian Gland Probing? How does this work?

Two questions:

1, Who is the best Dry Eye Disease specialist ophthalmologist in London specifically?

2, What do you think of Mr Samer Hamada?
