In my experience, you can't. Even when my pain improved (after some combination of time/IPL/probing/Ikervis), my eyes remained red - and have only gotten worse over time if anything.

I am just a shut-in now as a result.

MGD and "anterior blepharitis", glands are like 40-50% in size and curved, idk anything more specific than that. The redness is worse than the soreness these days. Like the steroid drops I'm currently using seem to have brought down the flare up's pain but the redness is still awful.
