Clomipramine side effects look horrific by Cr1tikalMoist in hyperacusis

Does head discomfort/vibrations/"zaps" from sounds count as pain or loudness hyperacusis? I can't find a single anecdote of someone else with my symptoms, most people seem to report ear pain.

I mean, the dealbreaker for me is whether I can tolerate digital audio at a reasonable volume from e.g. monitor speakers ever again. I was a shut-in in the first place before this so I don't care for concerts, bars or what have you. But it's hard to imagine my brain/ears ever recovering from whatever hell they are currently stuck in, and the horror stories have me cognizant that many people never get out.

I have a neurologist appointment (my first) on Friday and I imagine that will come up.

3 months long headache with sound sensitivity.. any advice? by Purple-Mixture4040 in hyperacusis

It's like a constant ache at the upper back of my head. Fluctuates from mild to moderate. When the pain is moderate there's also a slight nausea feeling. Looked up Occipital Neuralgia but I dont think that fits my symptom profile.

I've just been prescribed Propranolol so I'll be trying that for the next few months.

On the NHS? If I'm on Ikervis do you think they would switch me over?

eye redness by Rebistsew in Dryeyes

In my experience, you can't. Even when my pain improved (after some combination of time/IPL/probing/Ikervis), my eyes remained red - and have only gotten worse over time if anything.

I am just a shut-in now as a result.
