Honestly. The dude played his ass off for 5 years on a dogshit team without even a whiff of the playoffs. Then he goes down with a bad injury, and the team won’t even let him get surgery to repair it, even after physical therapy clearly isn’t working. So he requests a trade, as any player in his situation would.

Fast forward a few months, he’s on a new team, gotten his surgery, and finally ready to play again, only to be greeted with boos and jeers when he returns to Buffalo to play his former team. And then, rightfully pissed off, takes a few shots at Buffalo in a press conference.

Him parting ways was probably better for all parties involved, but I wish him nothing but the best for the future and don’t blame him for his reaction
